You probably have better than even chance in a 50-150mph run, but you would be the biggest fool to run off a light or at the track against these cars. You can talk all you want about 300 or 400 or 500rwhp turbos, but what do they make 1000-3000rpm?. Think you'll launch real well at a stoplight against an inferior V8 at 4k rpm or more?

I dont see to many 4 or 6cyl machines tearing it up at the fastest street car races. Why is that, hmmm? Maybe they are just feeling sorry for the ancient pushrodders and dont want to pee on they're parade. And dont even bring up the grand national, cuz the mustangs have won the last 4 years at the annual shootout.

Bringing up stock times for a 300Z as 13.5-14.xx. And? Go back a couple years when MM&FF bolted on some slicks and got a 5.0LX coupe into the 12's bone stock down to the airfilter. Then that lil LS1 that ran 12's in the 90deg heat. Your turbo car runs real good in the heat also, right?

Go mod for mod, dollar for dollar with a LS1 and you will be sick on exhaust fumes.

There are alot of wanna be racers running around here with they're Vtechs and turbo'd whatever, and I treat 'em like back markers. Maybe that 1 out of 100 will school me, but he hasnt found me yet.

You had your fun, now go select a new "NISMO" sticker for your 200 whatever it is.

what person do you know of launches a car at 1000rpm's...most people launch from~3000rpms and up, so who cares how much hp the car makes any lower on the rpm scale. you need to realize you have to be able to put that torque to the ground, spinning tires looks impressive, but it doesn't do much for helping you beat the guy in the other lane;) ....you said it right, "wanna be racers", I'm not a wanna be, I know what to do to make the hp, I've already proven myself with my eclispe, It's not a problem to do it again with the 200sx...but we'll see, enough bench racing, just give me some time to get the parts I need here, I'll come and find you, I might just be that "1 in 100 to school you";)...maybe not, it'll be fun either way.

If you do that It will be UGLY for ya. You will loose by a 1/2 track. I would not reccomend a rolling start for ya. unless you want to be abused in a bad way. 0-100 MPH is a 9 sec affair from a standstill. Let me know how you want to get whooped and I will gladly do it. LOL

You guy's are a trip!! I love it when you get all fired up it gives me something to laugh about at work. Run4Cover I will be back in Germany in Feb 03 So that gives you plenty of time to start modding your 200. Mine should be almost finished by then if the jack stands arent permanetly attached by now. Bruce is helping me find a way to to get them removed. LOL. See you next summer.

Come on, who's put this on here as a wind-up? Simple facts: a standard LS1 is faster than a standard 300ZX (0-60 in 5.2 vs 5.6). A standard 200SX runs 16.6 to 100 vs 13.0 for a bog standard LS1 so there's 3 seconds to make up. Nissan didn't charitably engineer the 200SX to withstand huge power gains without blowing the engine up. 18psi and nitrous...hmmm, engineered by McLaren was it, for $20 plus two cereal tops? Then to run that alleged power through a standard gearbox and axle... or perhaps you'd make your own from a washing up bottle and some pipe-cleaners...what a load of b*****s. The only thing whining will be your camshaft, your gearbox and the people who have to listen to this sort of bench racing. Oh but then I haven't spoken to those people about that...what was it again, Proton or something?

R4C lets just say you get something together(your dream turbo) My question is could ya drive. Bottom line is if you got the 20,000 to put in a 4 banger I do not think it will be streetable or you will not be able to handle it.

R4C - First off turbo eclipse's are famous for being extremely easy and cheap to make run 10-12 seconds and still be a daily driven street cars. So for you to brag that you proved yourself with your turbo eclipes means nothing to me. You only need to drop like $2,000 in to a turbo eclipse to make it run 12's. The fact that you choose to run Nissan turbo vehicles does not make you a turbo expert as you seem to be trying to protray yourself as. It's really tough taking a factory turbo engine and turn up the boost, putting a free flowing exhaust, and intake on it, to make it run fast. WOW, you are an expert now.

Then you claim to have a 300zxTT that is way out of our leage. But wait where is it????? Oh that's right it is at your home in the states in storage. Do you know how many times I have heard that line of BS? "Back home I have a _____(insert vehicle of choice here) and it would wax your *ss in a race, but I didn't ship it over because_____(insert excuse here)." Or "I had a _______(insert vehicle here) and it ran 10's in the quarter, but when I was in basic training I let my ________(insert relative or friend here) and they wrecked it into a __________(insert object here)."

So just go play with your 200x and when you are ready to come out and race do it. Stop wasting our time replying to your endless babbling about how great you are. Peace :)

I congratulate you on looking up some stats, but my 300zxtt isn't stock, and unlike you I get 60hp from just a chip upgrade. now, you do have the right stats for the 200sx, hahaha, but that's not the 200sx I have...my car is a '95 EUROPEAN spec 200sx, has nothing in common with the one you pulled the stats for, my car is more know as a nissan silvia, It shares the same body and suspension as the US. 240sx, but has a totally different engine. These cars run high 14's bone stock; 200hp, 200lb.ft.tq...my car is around 220hp now(I performed one minor mod;) ...now, the latest version has 250hp same torque as mine, weighs the same and runs the 1/4 in 13.9@ 101mph bone stock...you scared yet? For your info, these engines are built stronger than you could ever imagine, 300zxtt's have made anywhere from 500-700rwhp on stock bottom ends, these cars come from the factory with parts you domestic boys call race parts, try oil squirters for the pistons, forged crank, shoot peened rods, coated/reinforced cast pistons(the first weak point)block girdle with stout hardware, full roller valvetrain, variable cam timing, direct ignition(coil on each plug), do i need to continue? don't you realize the 300zx's(VG30DETT) engine is the one used in IMSA race cars? so, do I need to tell you that the SR20DET(200sx's engine) has the same features and was the primary race engine for the 2.0L displacement classes...everyone but you(and a select few) know that these engines are way detuned from the factory, you need to do some more research, but research the correct car this time;) ....you comming to the bitburg race? I'll be there, maybe I can show you just how slow a 16.6 is, lol...I should have my 3" exhaust by then, so I should be able to give you a decent run...don't make me put on my stickers!!;) cuz it'll be all over for you then! What do you mean alleged hp?!?! you obviously didn't see my eclispe running in sembach last year, I put the smack down on however has the red LT-1 with the chrome rims....matter of fact, the only person to beat me that day was the chevelle with the 454, only because I had trouble getting off the line, I've waxed him pretty good on the street here in schweinfurt, ask robin if my eclispe was slow;) ....he and I had a fun run one day too...ran Glen ward from a roll(~40mhp) he beat me, but he won't talk my car down because he got surprised how well I could keep up, he was running 11.7x's , you actually think I'm scared of you!?!?! bring it!!! and the mod list on the eclispe was fairly short, still making est. 300hp...I'm basically duplicating the set-up on that car with every thing larger;) come to bitburg, I'll run you while I'm bone stock, probably be the only time you'll be able to beat me anywayz:)

I beat that 454SS by alot with my old stock motor. I will waste ya by 7+ carlengths in the 1/4 if your lucky. I am sure I could beat Glens car now if he had his old setup.
