I'm desperately (kind of) looking for a set of leaf springs - as some might know/remember, I've had some problems with one of the two being slightly bent ... Glen came up with one, but the ones on my car are made of five leafs, while he was only able to get one with 4 ... now, I need another one of either ... quickly, I might add, as the car is now on the lift in Fulda and work is somewhat stalled until we are able to put a new set of springs in ...
Help appreciated,
-gg

This guy got them out of the bin. They have 5 leafs springs. I told him you might want them and he said he'll take $30.00 for them. I tried calling Squirelina and others to get your number last night. Let me know fast cause he wants to cut them for his truck.

If they are halfway decent, i.e. not totally rusted through, and possibly even got the rubber things under the axle, they are bought!
Call me @ 0171 6952153 ... is anybody from the Vilseck area driving towards either K-Town/Tony or to Würzburg/Schweinfurt area? Otherwise, I'll have to come down soon to get them ...

Garry, Got the springs. I'll be headed up to Wurzburg tomorrow about lunch time. We could possibly meet up at the Lara's Diner in the Main Franken park by the A3/A7.

But would the set of leaf springs fit in your car? Them beasts are long ... had to put the rear seats down on my Beemer to get 'em in there ...

Well, after a total of 7-8 hours, the old leaf springs are out, and the two new used ones are in ... I'm not sure if I really see a difference ...

I don't get it - what's the matter with that car or whatever?
Put the torque conv and tranny back on the motor yesterday, put the motor on the fork lift, dropped the (bent/crushed) oil pan off - and noticed the one Glen got me was only _almost_ identical ... I need the one with dip stick bends on both sides, the one I got only has one on the right side ... of course, the dip stick is on the left side ... so now I wait for Glen to bring me another to Bitburg this weekend, hoping to put the stuff together until August 10/11 ...
