Ok you can tell I am bored today, the weather is bad,
can't load the hay for the horses.

Received a letter in my mailbox which shocked me first, because right under my name there is Garrys name at the same address.
(Is he moving in???)
But no, opening the envelope I found the Chrom&Flammen
Logo on top and it says *Anmeldebestätigung*.
(Confirmation for the Chrom&Flame Registration)

They further tell me I get a place for my car,
for camping and shower for 2 people,
I can participate on the Big Parade
and the Quartermile-Run,
I don't sell and trade and
the box for show and shine has no X
(because I got to leave early and can't
stay until 0400pm on Sunday.)

Entrance to the area is on Friday, 21 June
from 1600h - 2400h, opens on Saturday at 0800am.
And they ask clubmembers to arrive together if possible.

They differ between Camping ground
(for Tents and Campers only)
and Pit area (for the cars),
further ask
1) to trow the trash into the trash bins
2) to follow the instructions of the security personnel

and must be important (bold and underlined)
TO BRING THIS LETTER WITH ME TO THE EVENT

(it has a number on the upper left,
which propably is my registration number)

Last not least they wish me a nice Weekend at the
20th anniversary of the Chrom & Flame

and attached is a site-plan.

Thank you Garry, this worked out fine.
But now comes the next question:
When do we all meet to arrive at what time?
I am on leave this week, so I am free any time.

Thanks for the offer - a bit long drive to work, though ... can you organize a new job somewhere in your area? :)

As mentioned before, I suggest a dual convoy (as far as it suites the participants), one from the Frankfurt direction north up A5 and then onto A4, the other up A9 ... don't know whether it's worth trying to meet where A4 and A9 cross, would require either halfway decent timing and few traffic jams, or a wait for one group ...
Main question is - would you people like to either arrive late on Friday, or would you rather want to get up early on Saturday. Very early. :) I guess getting there Friday night might be the better choice, but either way is OK with me ...

Squirrelina I tried to get an answer to that question in an earlier post, but no one really answered me

As for me, I´d say me arrive there late friday night... would be good to meet somewhere so we could cruise there together

I tend to leave a little earlier on Friday, because
I have to leave Saturday already,
got to pick up my Mom in Bad Füssing on Sunday morning,
but can't take the same car
(she went on cure with half the household) so I got to
drive all the way back and pick up the VW Stationwagon.

K-Town folks do want to take the A5 route ... no use going to Nürnberg to get there ... far enough anyway ... :)

Good paid jobs in this area are rare,
what do you think why I work for the US? :)

Hope I am doing this right, Jerry is out of town until late on the 18th, so I am going to take his car up to Frankfurt and pick him up so we can leave from there in the morning. Could you please call his cell when you are getting close to the car show place and we can meet up with you.
His number is 016098412506. We will be up there pretty early but will wait to hear from yous before we go in. If we don't hear anything we will see you on Saturday. Thanks Linda

Well, Bruce done posted a time (was it 1800 at the Diner in Nürnberg?), how about 1600 or whatever for the folks in the K-Town area? That would put you up in my area around 1800, and would probably get us all at the A4/A9 crossing an hour or so later ...

And the (usual) question: Who has enough space to bring a grill? As always, I am chronically low on space, so ...
What about BBQ meats? Anybody willing to do some shopping for meat? We have the extra €30 (once everybody pays me, that is), which is a good start, plus another two or three bucks, should be enough for a couple racks of ribs (don't forget a bottle or two of bbq sauce), burgers and hot dogs ... any takers?

If I get my car back Friday, will that be too late? Did you already register me Garry?
