Just wanted to see how everyone did over there sine I have moved back to the states I couldn't be there to watch.... Let me know the hap's!!!! Later all.... and Howie don't kill the ride or your wife will kill you!

You missed out on lots of fun man. I'm sure you're not too down considering all the racing in the states.

Well I did 'okay'. My best time was 13.01 at 91 mph. That was a 12 sec run I'm sure but I hit my brakes at the end trying not to brake out. I ussally roll through the traps around 107/108 mph. I broke out anyway and lost to a 16 sec Beemer. I ran the ET streets too and burnt my stock clutch all the way down the track. Time for another one of those. The tires were sticking out a bit and were rubbing on the fender wells all the way down the track too.

Oh and my SES light was on the whole weekend so that was killer on my time. Mabey I'll have better luck in two weeks. Plan on putting in the gears next week and getting a clutch on order REAL soon. But you guys and gals who couldn't make it missed a good time.

I did not drive this time, none of my cars was ready as promised to me... as usual.
But it was my car holding together the race on Saturday, Tony forgot half the equipment and we had to tie the wires to my Toyota to hold them up in the air above the startline... so I could not move it an inch all day.

Well, I lost in the 4th or 5th round due to redlight (.474 ), with only 9 cars after that run ...
Anyway, halfway sucessful - broke into the 15sec ... 15.983@84.11, don't know how the car did it - ran
it up to 5500 and shifted w/o lifting, barely made it to 4th gear ... Tony didn't seem to know how I did it
- especially with the new BMR swaybar on the front ...
Only ran 2.308 on the 60' that run - wonder what I would have had on the quarter the time I ran a
2.2something last year ...
Anybody got an idea what the approximate corrected time for sealevel would be? Bitburg is somewhere
around 4000ft, we had about 90 degress ... don't know the air pressure ...

It was hot and humid slight headwind and there is a slight incline. I would like to know approximate corrected times. I think everybody was a little slow at that track. I will try to go to Dracten @ sea level and prepared track and see what I can run??? BTW I drove 6hrs (stau) with my wife Big dog and son in the Firehawk in blazing heat with tha AC on. I ran out of time 1500 I had to leave son has schoool and my wifehad to work at 0500. I was cutting some good RT .506. BTW I Had some really good races this weekend??? I am running 11's in the 1/4 with less than ideal conditions. I would like to say thanks to the Vilseck group Gil, Rich, John for all the logistical support. My wife really enjoyed talking to all you guys and gals and said you all had really nice girlfreinds and wives. I told her it takes a nice girl to put up with a gearhead. Jeff hope you get your car fixed soon. Howie You could go to the strip lot and get more rubber and raise it 1/2 inch and you should be good.

Yep, we all had a blast. I was pretty proud of my car as I was also running 13.01's at 109 and change. But alas the fun did not last as my 3 month old clutch gave up on me after 4 runs. I am now going to buy somthing evil as I keep killing them. I was going to borrow Bruce's slicks and see what would have happened then, but oh, well maybe next time. I also seen Run-4-Cover get molly-wopped by Gil by about 4-5 cars and its on video. We just ned to figure out how to post it. lol

It was nice meeting everyone and was cool to put a face to some of the names.

P.S keep a eye in the stars and stripes !!

It was a blast for those that missed it. I'll hopefully be there w/ the ride next time. Bruce basically kicked everyone's arss. What was you best time Bruce? I saw one ticket w/ 11.85 @ 120mph. He was smoking to say the least and I got in on tape too. Should've put it on the digi but wasn't thinking. Oh well there is next time. I'm hoping to be in the 11's on stock tires or die trying.

Howie was running great too until the clutch started slipping. Think I got that one on tape too.
Jeff spend the bucks and get a ST. It'll be the last clutch you'll ever need.
It's gonna be fun and hopefully it's cooler w/ alot of cloud cover to boot.

Looks like you'll get the pass for those events from now on a bit more easily, or?

When exactly is the next event! I need to get mine back up! I dont think I can afford the ST. I am thinking of the STAR stg. 3 ceramic.

Linda and I had a great time with all of you, even if we were only there for Saturday. Linda was still wound up on Sunday from her run. That was the first time she had done a run on a dragstrip. I'm afraid that I may have created a monster. We really did enjoy ourselves though. See you in August.

Over on the f-body.com message board, someone said that would probably translate to something like 15.14 ...that sounds pretty quick for my poor ol' heavy stock V6 ...

That is what someone told me? But I seen 1229 ft on the tower still should be a couple .10's

1229 ft or 1229 meters above sea level?

I believe it is 1229 meters, because I live at around
900 m and over there is a bit higher.
So the estimate of 4000 ft should be close.

I can bring my GPS thingy next time that displays the altitude ... that way, we will have a reading within some 10ft or so ...
