Hello All,
Although I don't currently own a F-Body, I'm hoping you'll still let me join in on the fun. This forum definately see lots of action and I've enjoyed reading just about everything that's posted.
I was at Bitburg last weekend (sorry, not with the car) and had a great time. Looks like the wife has caught the bug (remember watching a really slow silver Volvo?) too and will looking for a car. I will be at Cars are the Stars this weekend (plan to get there with the car late Friday evening), and hope to hook up with any members that attend. Just look for the Red 69 Nova (no eggs please, it's hell on the paint!).
If things work out well I'll have the car at Bitburg next week and we'll see if it's got any potential. I've never run it through the 1/4.
Thanks,
Dennis

Welcome to the club! We have Stangs and Imports here too, so a Big Block Nova is most definetly welcome! There's a 69 Nova SS here in Schweinfurt with a 454 in it. What year is your's? I'm sure it'll do pretty well in the 1/4 depending on your gears. Novas are perfect for drag racing.

CT,
Thanks for the welcome. Mine's a 69 also. Is the one in Schweinfurt red too?

Hey there, welcome to the board. Are on Gieb? I think I saw your car this morning. Looks nice. I was driving the wife's black Z28. The wife and I are going to be heading to the Cars are the Stars tonight also. I was planning on linking up with the guys from the Vilseck/Nurnberg areas on A6. If you wanna roll, let me know... Cell-0160 262 5744. If I don't answer I am sitting in on a promo board today, and will call you back when I get a chance. Or just call after 1500. If not I will see you at K-town.

RT1,
I live about 1/2 way between Mannheim and K-Town. I won't get out from work until around 1900, but I will give you a call. We expect to be at Pulaski by 2030.
Later,

Yeah, the one here is red, too. A different shade than yours but also red. I'm not sure if it's a real SS or a clone. Obviously the engine is not original anymore.
I won't make it to C.A.T.S., I have to work all weekend. I'll be at Geiselwind next weekend and Hockenheim the weekend after though. Hope to see you there.

Hi Dennis,
so you finally introduced yourself, hm?
Coming with your car to Bitburg?
Well, nice to talk to you on here.
Sorry, I just seen this somewhat late,
did not always have time to read this
board.
Oh, and I want to talk to you about
something
Tried to call you, but you were not
answering.
(I hate answering machines)

Silke,
Family and I will be there Friday evening. I've tried my best to convince Tony that the track needs to be set up and tested FRIDAY! Then maybe we can stick to some type of reasonable schedule for racing.
If I bring the Nova I'll have to drive it, and it's not the greatest autobahn cruiser. I have to repack the front wheel bearings as it seems I've overheated them and most the grease vanished (I think I have a sticky caliper on the left front). I have the parts I need and I'm taking 1/2 a day off Thursday to perform repairs. If all works well the car will be there this weekend.
Speaking of trying to get ahold of me. I need someone that speaks German that can talk with my great service provider (D2 Vodaphone) and have them turn off my voice mail. Every time I start talking with then they put me on hold and then hang up on me (think it's my personality?).
We can talk this weekend (I'm thinking big block motor here) and I'm sure we can work something out. Sorry to hear about your auto troubles. Are you going to be able to bring the R/T? It sounded good when I heard it at Tony's. It would be nice to see how it runs.
Later,

What do you mean, you tried? Do you know something we don't? If Tony is not there AGAIN this time to set up the crap on Friday, he may have problems finding anybody to help for any other events ... Should be possible to do using the regular menus on your phone ...

Garry,
Tony always plans to get there early and set up, it just seems that he runs into problems occasionally. From what he told me Tuesday, he will be at Bitburg well before 1800 on Friday.
As for the phone, it's one of those great (POS) Motorola TimePorts. I've been through every possible menu selection with no luck. I'll let you take a look at it this weekend. Hopefully you can take care of it.
Thanks,

Maybe we can just put your card in my phone and change the setting ... do you have a regular contract, or a pre-paid?

Regular contract. We'll give it a try.
