The German that helped me before gave me a little grief this morning. But I knew to shut up so he'd pass me. He was gonna ding me on the rear ta cover for a minor leak. But get this.... he said the header wrap isn't legal? WTF. I have it on my y-pipe so it doesn't burn my rad hose drilled into the floor board keeping the banging under control. I explained to him what this does and he was like "ya-ya I see but don't want to know". I was like "ok"
But then he went after my borla. I have it capped off w/ on the driver side exhaust on so the other side is visible w/ the plate. He told me this was straight up illegal I think he was referring to the 7ft long cable to open the butterfly that he couldn't explain. I'm thinkin he thought it was a fuel line or something. LOL I told him it's perfectly legal and I got the same reply but funky so I said I'll prove it. Pulled out the bible w/ receipt then pulled out the catalog to show him a picture of it along w/ a TUV seal. He was about pissed and told I've been here 20 yrs I never seen that before. Well I said now you have. Ha-ha. He said I won't fail you because you have a nice car and you take care of it I can tell but don't push it. So I was like cool thankyou and here's a card come see us race. Got my papers and rolled out.
I still manage to hit the damp bump on the way up to the ramp too but it was like a knick. You should see the thing it looks like a 4 wheeler. Still rides good too.
Later,

Nope Ramstein. Vogelweh is too strict. If you ever see a old borla brochure it has a TUV right on the cover. Since that was there shouldn't be a problem....you'd think.
Hell ya I'm happy! Now I can finish my projects a nice steady pace.

Hawk I'll take the covers I'm sure I can swap 4 off a vette somewhere. LOL
Also once I track down this pinging sound I think I'll take the kit. So just hold onto it for me for a month. After that and I don't find the source go ahead and sell it.
Squirella I'll bring the brochure to OSL.
