Of course I remember, but that's what I deserved for having Summer only tires on there.. Here is a pic of the car before we went out to Ryan's house. I am prepared this year, with my massive snow tires..

Garry, are you going to bring the Video Camera to start on some movie?
Maybe we could do some of that Video idea before the diner?
I also do have an idea of really nice roads
curving up the hill not to far away, and nice country side roads with rocks in the background about 30 - 45 minutes away and
can bring up to 8 walky talkys for the coordination.

Whoever else wants to participate, we could start some at about 1000 or 1100, and have the meet at the diner at 0200?

Sounds good ... need to charge the battery, and could use someone on the passenger seat for the shots on the way ...

OK, who all will be there? WOuld be nice to have more than just two or three fbodies there ... ;)
Silke, do you know a nice big parking lot, preferably in the middle of nowhere, where we could do some controlled burnouts/donuts and stuff w/o getting booked? ;)

the roads should be no problem,
Sundays not too much traffic.
Passenger seat... well I do not have a Camaro ready
but a Dodge F-body 'til then ;)
and if I am in your passenger seat your 'vert won't be
on the video.
Looked for an uphill curvey road,
could place the camera on top and coordinate with
the walky talky when to start the convoy up the hill.
Maybe do this twice to pick the best.
Then close to that (less than 5 minutes)
is the A62 with two bridges and the possibility to turn,
exit in one direction and parking lots in the other
(with exit/ramp hidden in the parking lots)
- put the camera on the bridge.
Then there is the curvey stretch up to Pirm,
which is double lane!
that is where I could take pictures out of a
passenger seat passing ALL the fbodys
(no race, just to get a different few),
but I am looking for a non-fbody driver to do that. :)
Got to talk to some people, close from there
is a parking lot we may be able to use,
but that I want to check in first.
If we have plenty of time we could drive down the B10,
nice background view with 4 nice tunnels right after
each other, would be a cool movie when the fbodys come
out of one and go into the next...
there is parking spots but maybe want to place the
camera on the other side of the valley?
But last part would be a little longer ride, takes about
20 minutes from Pirm.

just some ideas. no must. :)

'vert has one advantage - you can do pans without being obstructed by the roof ... ;) eg, pass a couple cars, then move right, and get passed by another couple cars from behind ... apart from that, taking outside shots on a tripod will be the best choice I recon ...

when you do a movie you do not change the view like that.
(pass, move right, get passed)
that's a 'beginners' mistake, don't look good when
you later on watch it.
Also you never swap the view from left to right to right to left direction on the same driving.
You got to think about a person watching the movie later on
does not know what you are doing, and when the cars go a different direction over the screen all the time you may as well watch tennis.
If there is other elements and scenes in between, that's a different story.

IT`s a nice idea to make a little "round-trip"!
Now we need a time and the meeting-point.

do not think this will be the last and the only time we make parts of the video, because there will be more coming... so you will be here for the next time. Well you could let your wife drive the Camaro this time, so your car would be in the convoy. ;)

Yeah, that's right, let your wife grab the Z and come with us ... ;)
Anyway, we could do some Winter runs, too, if we can get a couple F-Bodies with winter tires ... ;)

These winter tires were so damn expensive, so now they are good for something!

Hi, Dennis,
just found a 1050 hp bigblock, no turbo or nitrous, runs on regular gas!

BTW: Rick got some pics for you! (Rear End)
He will give them to you whenever you want.
