In answer to your question how would I know if you had an SS, I would simply look around your car. I wouldn't determine SS just because of the spoiler. Most people with SS's don't alter their cars, you have after market exhaust, first clue. If you had no badges(why would you take off SS badges), and if you did have SS badges you would look like those Gt guys running around with Cobra emblems...So again, I personally wouldn't be fooled by the spoiler!:) I would have been disappointed....

Mike, I think those badges have gone straight to your head man. You know, if I would have found a used SS, for a good price, I probably would have bought it too. I bought my car new, and at the time, I really didn't know too much about the SS. If I would have, I could have easily just ordered one.

And you are right, I would not take off the badges, just like I will not take off my Z28 badges.

How is me sticking up for the SS going to my head. It's a simple case of "I don't have one so I am going to rag on the people that do" sindrome. I think you should just go buy a mustang, since that seems to be your topic of choice lately...

No-one was ragging the SS. I love SS's and would buy one given the opportunity but they don't sell them here. My observation related to having a nut and bolt identical clone vs an SS where only one would be "entitled" to carry the badge, suggesting an "X-factor" surrounding the SS badge that goes beyond the physical components. I agree about the 23 page thread but a forum is , by definition, a place where people come to express any opinion they want. To do otherwise would be akin to Caesar holding a forum where only persons who agreed with him could speak - a dictatorship in other words. It's like TV, you don't have to switch it on. We all have diffrent cars and ideas. Most of us have changed a couple things for whatever reasons. I just wanted more power and look stock. I am sure some people do not like my car but I will get over it. Because its mostly mine at this point 1 year left on payments.
