Still thinking about using a completely different color scheme... I tried adapting it to this board a bit, but that's not that easy ... well, just stick with me a day or two, I'll figure something out ...
What do you say to this scheme?

Use the first one during Halloween. The second is readable.

Well, there are real Halloween themes out there ... but that isn't needed for the next - say - 11 1/2 months? Anyway, anybody else in favor of the second color scheme?
It looks like the IM patch is more or less being completed these coming days, so I tend to really move the board over to the other board package ... (as the missing IM has been the only objection to date ...)

The Dark Side version is awful. The orange one is bad but I like the aquamarine version. Don't like the monochrome stuff. So I vote for the aquamarine one.

I put the FI OneFour theme up in the board - check it out ... shouldn't need to go to your profile and change from subSilver to the other one ... guess I'll be switching tomorrow if there aren't any objections ... if I am, please note the board will be down for about half an hour or so to convert the database and rebuild the search index ...

well, slow evening, not too many people there, so I decided to get this changed over ... will be rebuilding the search index later or tomorrow morning ... will be about 30min downtime (almost 30000 posts ...)
Btw, the new board supports personal avatars, you can change/upload them through your profile ...

The functions of the new board a good and it looks a bit more "professional" (don´t know any other word )
But the color scheme is not my taste, don´t like that green, cyan or however it its called.

ChrisV6 wrote: The functions of the new board a good and it looks a bit more "professional" (don´t know any other word ) Well, ought to be - phpBB is a program still being supported and developed, in contrast to the old board which had last been changed in 2000 ... their new development, which can be seen at the OSL site, is by far not as modular as this one, plus there are truckloads of modifications/extensions available for this board, as its userbase is pretty big ... going to put some in later ... Quote: But the color scheme is not my taste, don´t like that green, cyan or however it its called. Well, I'm open for suggestions ... how 'bout instead? Got to find a color that will look good (and is readable) both on the black and the blue-gray background ... Tried a red color, but doesn't seem _that_ good ... could go with a leal light blue ... Btw, you can always switch to the subSilver theme, I will keep my hands off of it, so it should always be legible ... [/quote]

Btw, you will have to check your profile - I've noticed the timezone has not been converted from the old to the new board, all profiles are set to GMT ...

Garry, just want to tell you that it don't look to bad. Good job. The best thing, IMO, is that you can see more than 5 people in the IM window. Before the window wouldn't grow with the amount of members loged in. TY.

I like it Garry. I still think it needs more red, but I am certainly not the majority. Like Roy said, it will take a little getting used to, but it's nice to have change sometimes.

I really like the new board (design)!
ChrisV6: I notice that you have a new avatar. Now, when are you posting the FULL-SIZE pics (your car & girl)??? Come on, I already asked you a 1/2 or 3/4 year ago...
