I usually try not to pay attention to the commercials (or even the shows, for that matter) that play on AFN, but one has caught my attention. It is for MWR activities, and has a remix of my favorite 80s classic, Tainted Love. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the song or who did the remake? It's going to bug me until I find it! Thanks....

Can probably find it on a Peer-2-Peer network ... I'll start a download, probably can get a CD quality version rather quickly ... I'll let you know ...

That remix was done by Marilyn Manson and is on the soundtrack for "Not Another Teen Movie". I have it on my computer as well. I would send it to you if I knew how. Later

Hey Dave, that's it! Thanks so much! It was going to bug me until I found it, so you've saved me a lot of missed sleep (riiiiighhtttt). Garry and Roy, thanks also, but the version Dave mentioned is the one I'm looking for. Thanks again!

Soft Cell did the original "Tainted Love", in case anyone was interested.

I have yet to see any remakes that are better than the original version ... personal opinion ...

As an advocate of the original is always the best, you can't beat Soft Cell's "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye". David Gray tried to murder it but couldn't quite succeed. Didn't New Found Glory also do a cover of Tainted Love?
Can I recommend that if you want any of these songs, you try "Kazaa Lite" which will come up on a search. You don't get any irritating adverts or pop-ups. 2 great songs I've discovered that I would never otherwise have heard of are "Xmas Day" by Silverdust and "After All These Years" by Silverchair. Just when I thought all modern music had lost any appeal and I'd worn out my copy of "Remember You're A Womble"

Well, I agree that the Soft Cell (and yes, I did know the original was by them) made Tainted Love the best, but the remake isn't terrible. The beat caught my attention, and that's why I wanted to know who remade it. Thanks everyone!

Even though I really hate Marilyn Manson (anybody know his "Highway to Hell" cover? Pure noise pollution, not more...), that song isn´t that bad

I beg to differ. Limp Bizkit's version of "Faith" is way better than George Micheal's original. I dig the "Tainted Love" remix. Another 80's remake is "Relax" remade by Powerman 5000. It is on the Zoolander soundtrack. Later

I happen to have (somewhere) several remakes of Tainted Love. I dont know who did them, but they are done in a techno kind of thing. Someone made the CD for me because it had a lot of bass in it. I happen to have a big Sub and amp in my Expedition. One day will have something similar in my TA.

Ya know what really sucks, some nynsc/brakstreet boy redone Bob Segar's 'Against The Wind'. If they're so great, why don't they write and butcher, I mean sing, their own damn songs.
