If you go to LS1.com and look at the thread "Mach 1, who is Ford kidding?", there's a pic of the 2005 Mustang GT posted on page 8. I have to say that if GM don't do something about reviving the Camaro and Firebird, this car is gonna blow the GTO into oblivion. It may already be too late but this car may be the only choice when my car gets too old.

I don't know how to post links. I just bumped up the topic about "laughing at the cover of Motor Trend" to the top. It has better pics.
Now I'm in two minds - the back is a bit '83 TA and the front lights are suspect.
But there are still no real alternatives.

I'd buy iit if was in the market. Owned an 89 lx 5.0 in 89 in germany, whooped all the fbody and vettes with it . . That was a tough car to beat for the price.

Is there any talk of a 5.0 return?

Yes, I read somewhere that they're planning on introducing a new 5.0 version. With all the derivatives and special editions, they'll need some variety in the engine bay. Perhaps they should look to the Australian 5.4 litre quad cam 375hp V8.
