Well after 5 long hard months of the Toy aka SRZ sittin on jack stands I decided to head into the garage and ressurrect the Devil.
Slapped the optima back in off the crate it layed in.....proceeded w/ the neg then the pos. Dumb me forgot I had the key turned so as soon as the pos hit the pump primed.
Got in the car turned the key and on the 1st crank she woke the hell up!!!!! Yeah! She wouldn't hold a idle though because she had to relearn herself so after about 5 mins she caught on.
What a feeling esp since I had the whole topend apart playing joe schmoe the mechanic in the winter months. Almost took her off the jack stands but she said no! She needs her glasses 1st aka (smoke signal covers) before she will let me put her back on the road.
I let her get to operating temp and check for any leaks and whatnot......all is clear. My headers starting smoking pressuming from being so cold all these months and a little pwr steering and oil on 'em. She sounded good and not quite as loud as I expected but then of course I didn't romp on it either. Wanted to make sure all the oil galleys were getting their just do. See you guys on the 15th glasses or not!
I think it'll be a good little trip as long as we don't make it to Baumholder UUGH. If my computer isn't ready i'll have a tow truck ready to salom the camaro through the curves. Oh yeah almost forgot i'm back in Graf again fun fun. I'll give you a call on sunday for your numbers from the SRZ. Later Ryan
