This is a really long shot, but worth a try.
In January 2002, I bought a 1991 RS Camaro that used to reside in RAF Mildenhall in Bury St Edmunds in the UK. The car has been completely restored now and I have been trying to contact the last owner through the RAF to find out some details about it's history. Alas, no luck.

The cars registration is H78 KEW and here is a photo
Image

Does anyone recognise the car at all?

The last registered owner was Jocelyn E Jensen. It would be nice to be able to talk to this person and for them to see the car in the state it is in now. (See web site in sig below).

Thank you to anyone replying.

Andy Fanshawe.

Ain't got a page up with the 79, but you can find some pics from the 98 at http://uscco.insider.org/pics/garry/en.html... some outdated info on the 79 is at http://uscco.insider.org/pics/garry79/en.html, some pictures of the current state here on the thread: http://www.fbodyeurope.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=2381

Hi Garry.
Nice looking 98. Perfect colour. Seems like you're a "red" person!!

What plans do you have for the 79? Looks strong.

Have you been caught out in the rain with it yet? That scoop and the hole in the bonnet is interesting in the wet! I've been there done that! Caught out once or twice. Looks tough though!

Andy.
PS Looks like the picture I had in the first post is now not there! Knew it was a long shot!

Actually, just a coincidence, got the 98 used about 2 years back from a local opel dealer, the '79 was the best 2nd gen for a decent price I could get that fall after looking for a couple of months ... that one won't stay red, though ...

got a couple MSD ignition parts lying around that need to be put in (no time yet), and the rear quarter panels are still missing (metal, that is - got the Glasfiber ones there ...)

Drove the car once for about 150km home from where I bought it, then wrecked it on a trailer, and trying to get it finished last year - this year, hopefully, I'll be able to run it on the track a bit if I ever get the timing system working ;)
Apart from that, it won't see the street I don't think - not want to mess with German TÜV in order to get a regular (or special) plate for it ... just pull it on a trailer and haul it wherever I want it ;)

Great Job with the Camaro...thats come a long way and I am certain that getting the parts in Great Britain was no simple task. I will likely use the same company you did to finish up my TA.

Congratulations and welcome to the board.

Patrick

Try paging Jagsy (new post "Paging Jagsy") as he was talking about possibly 6 F-bodies and a Mustang coming from RAF Mildenhall to Avon Park this weekend. So I assume he has a contact there.
