1660Kilos! That's 3652lbs w/ a empty tank of gas and me NOT in it. I'm only 145 but me and a full tank I'm pushing 3800lbs +! (*&^*!@ PIG!
Well at least I know what I weigh and that's w/ lighter seats, lighter upper and lower A-arms, tubular arms out back sub frames no rear seats AC, Air pump, EGR. Maybe I'll do the k-member after all rip the carpet out and remove the air bags.
DAMN!!!!!!
Well according to GM you subtract the 680lbs from the GVWR weight listed on the door. 4 passengers @ 170lbs X 4 = 680 so that puts me @ 3533 curb weight.
I can live w/ that.

Dude that is nothing compared to my 4200lb paper weight. I've also added the SSM subframe connectors and lift arm system. She probably weights about 4350 now. Time to start shedding some weight.

Man why couldn't we just start out a 3400lbs max? Then we could work our way down.
Hell I think 911's weigh around 2500 or so. Imagine us being that light w/ all that engine to back it up? My next car will definetly be a light import like a s2000 and slap a turbo on it.
Mike's 2nd gen weighed 1610 kilos. That car is huge and weighs less than mine.

That does suck. Don't know why ours are so heavy. You are right, if we had the same hp in a 2500lb car then there would be 9 second time slips waving around.

Why are you so heavy? I just looked at the SLP Birth Certificate for my car and it gives the weight as 3439 and it's a vert. I know the engine is lighter but it shouldn't be that much lighter. Your's sounds really heavy.

I don't know Dino. But you can have to exact same cars w/ the same options and everything and you'll see a difference in weight vary from anywhere to 100-250lbs. Now that's a WTF type question there. Seen it w/ my own eyes back in the states.

I know what it is... somebody is watchin' out for you and at night filling up the car with extra weight,
to make sure you do not kill yourself with all the hp and speed...
back years ago they had to build hp to move the weight, and now they put weight on to calm the hp.
ok do only believe this if you believe in angels.

My '57 Chevy truck weighs in at 1700 kilos. Thats with a 350, REAL steel, full frame, lots of sound deadening, and even a hitch! OK, I don't have all of that emisions crap or ac, but I had no idea that it only weighs a little more than a Camaro After the stereo install it'll weigh more, but I do plan on making it lighter. I'll start by removing about 150 pounds of bondo...

Volker has gotten his Z28 down to 1390 kilos.. That is phenomenal... Of course, he doesn't have anything on the interior, but still!

I race a little bit , car should be faster than it is though, I think it's the suspension's fault.

thanks, I love the hood, it's a good conversation piece, LOL
Well, here come the excuses, my best is a 13.8@101 2.2 60ft here in phoenix. Since then I did an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake man. and a 2" phenolic carb spacer(main reason for the hood, plus allows for a blower later on), I got the carb tuned a little better, and added some sub-frame connectors. I noticed I am only getting around 5 1/2 psi fuel pressure to the carb so I aquired a holley "red" elec. fuel pump to put in, I am just a lazy ass and havent completely installed it yet. I am getting some BFG comp T/A drag radials and finishing the F/P install before I go to the track next friday (23rd). I am hoping to knock out at least a low 13 sec ET, but we will see. after that, N20 is going on, unless I decide to do a better set of heads and a bigger cam, all depends on the money situation.
