Hi there!
I'm a member of Fbody Club Poland and I would like to invite you to a big american cars event, which will take place in Poland (near the city called Kielce) on 24th May 2003. It's the 3rd annual event in our country - there is usually 100-200 cars, mostly 70s and 80s, but you'll also find old Cadillacs, Buicks and late model Corvettes, Mustangs or - Camaro/Firebirds. It isn't as big as events in Germany or Sweden, but it's definitely worth seeing
Maybe you'll be in Poland those days? Come in, bring your family, have a good time. Or maybe there is someone who's going to drive his car there? Do not hesitate, you'll meet american car's nuts - just like you.
Anyway - here are more information - official page, a few words in English:
10:00 - drive to place of event (racing circuit in Miedziana Gora), registration (starting numbers etc.), test races, bikini car wash ( ), live music
12:00 - event start, drag races (quarter mile), live music
14:30 - show and shine contest (bring your Z6s along ), "drive in" presentatons
15:00 - burnout - donut contest, live music
16:00 - Lowrider Show (on 99% percent, I think low riders are from Germany), live music
17:00 - winners get their prizes, end of event
17:30 - drive out (in convoy)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
18:30 - drive to 'Sielpia' (hotels)
20:00 - party starts
20:15 - camp fire
21:00 - live music
24:00 - Strip Tease Show
All the time cars will be around the circiut for visitors to see, touch and lick, here are pictures from 2001 (same location) and 2002 (that was in another location).
If you are intrested - ask here (I don't know if it's a proper section for such event informations) or email the organizators (Jarek - jarek@flamingwheels.pl or Wojtek - wojtek@flamingwheels.pl). If you want to stay for the night or book a hotel room - email also, they'll give you information you need.
Here's also the map (click and zoom out to see where 'Kilece' is, 'oddal' button).
I hope to see you there!

Thanks for the invite! A little to far for me:( I will be in Baumholder all next week, maybe longer, so I am sure the wife will have me grounded when I get back:)

The security is going to watch all cars - both, on the circuit and visitor's autos. Generally, US cars are out of thiefs wish-list and unless you're driving new BMW 7 or Mercedes' sports car you really don't need to take your Desert Eagle gun with you.

slow down a little,
even though we all hear about some car market in poland, we do not want to make generic statements...
it is like you'd say all germans eat Bratwurst.
I am german, I hate Bratwurst and before you see me eat one...
well, never say never.

Good one you probably have Jack out there checking his car right now, wait a minute, I will be right back, need to check mine. Anyway, thanks for posting your events. The problem is that it is just to far for some of us to drive(American V-8's drink gas to). Keep us informed on the events, hell some of us may make out there some day.

Dude, I have my car under constant video surveillance. If someone tries to steal my car, I'm gonna know about it.

Talking about stereotypes ... somebody at work saw some webcam pics from the grand opening of the first "Mediamarkt" (IIRC) in Poland ... from the "after" pics it seems like the place is in for some renovation after being open for a day ...
