Well, some of you guys may remember me, Sven, and #46, a black '93 camaro Z28 LT-1
some of you guys remember the bad luck I had.
well, It has now replaced by another F Body-
a dark blue '99 Firebird Trans Am LS-1
In honor of the original #46-a raw, blue flame spitting, bass note exhaust pumping,
modified black brute, I shall also name this one #46.
The new Vilseck Clan #46 is a brute with a different character.
'99 Trans Am LS-1 no modifications presently. Unlike the original #46, the new #46 can be quite civilized when driven lightly- and I kind of appreciate that-
But turn it up a notch or two and the LS-1 wakes up and the F-Body reminds you that it must be driven hard and with a purpose- and with a strong mind.
I am glad to be back in a F-Body again, as much as I love my Suzuki Hayabusa I am afraid that both cannot replace each other.
I will be in and out of the website from time to time, and I will be checking up on the latest F Body stuff going on.
I am afraid that free time is something I don't have much of, but I will still be around.
And so will #46.
Drive safely, and look out for the other guy that is not looking out for themself on the street.

Oops scatch that then.
Bruce can you just slap a different crank in there like that w/ no problem? I at least thought there would be different clearance issues w/ the crank and rod as far as bearings go. Would be nice if you can just swap cranks out though.

That is a possibility? you would need a balanced 350 crank with main bearing and rod bearings your rods and pistons should be good with clearance. I seen plenty of cranks for a little nothing. Normally if the main bearings let loose it had oil issues and it should be lined bored to verify straightness. if it was a Rod bearing the crank can be replaced with new bearings and it should be good. Did it knock at all if it did it could have cracked the block.

Welcome to the LS1 Secret Temple. I mean, these LT1's are OK but... he he.
Well done on rejoining the cognoscenti. I know what you mean about the LS1 having a quiet side. i have a loudmouth replica (no silencer) so it's damned loud on the throttle but whisper quiet on a constant light throttle.
Now get it modified.
