What is the best way to ensure that there is NO more water in the oil? Do I just drain the oil, or are more grueling steps needed??

Just draining the oil should be OK. There might be a slight amount, but it won't be enough to hurt anything.

If it makes you feel any better, oil floats on top of water so when draining, the water will be the first out of the pan. After the oil has been drained, (and refilled!) just run the car till it gets to normal operating temperature for a while. The heat will cause any remaining water/condensation to evaporate.
