I just can't get it to sit right on the intake. Every time I adjust it, it leaks from somewhere else....   Anyone have any advice?

Jack, you have about the same luck working on cars that my son and I do. Only bad luck. A 30 minute job always took us at least 4 hours, if we were lucky. I don't know what I could do to help you or I would be more than happy to.

Thanks Jerry. I know my luck with cars, in general, is pretty crappy.. this is just one more reason why I should just let the professionals take care of these things. I am just sick of paying out the yinyang to have it done.

I agree on paying them so much. Also, I don't like for anyone else to touch my cars. I used to take them in for inspections all the time and had problems with my cars. When I quit taking them to the dealers, I quit having as many problems. It just takes me a long time to do anything. But, when I do it myself, it is usually done right.

Don't guess we will be going cruising tomorrow. That's OK though. I have some cleaning and polishing to do before Cars are the Stars.

man, I would have given up a long time ago......

it is up to you. I simply don't have time to work on my LS-1 it is better off for me to have a professional GM mechanic handle it.... yes it will cost some money, but in the long run for me it is more than worth it, because I have no problems, Even in the dead of winter.

That's the difference between you and me, Sven. I have the time, and even though I might not know exactly what I'm doing, I DO know that I'm not going to HALF-ASS it. You guys might have a good dealer down there to work on your cars, but up here, we DON'T! :) Such is the reality!

Luckily I've narrowed it down to the rubber o-rings. 2 of them are pretty jacked up, and that's where the problems were.. I should be able to get some tomorrow, and then I can get her running! :)

Jack, what about having ADAC towing that to the Amberg Opel? I have the ADAC Plus and they will tow it anywhere once. They might have a prollem with taking it somewhere that you don't live near though. So just get someone that lives there call them.

BTW, might get the seats this weekend. You going to be @ CatS?

Rob

They will just tow it to your hometown (and just there, i think) when there´s no dealer near that can fix it.
When my clutch broke in Dresden the lady from the ADAC office in Dresden had to convince the people from the ADAC center that noone there has any spare parts to repair it.
OK, but that was easy: "It´s a Pontiac."
You even get a rental car then with ADAC plus
