I've finally got enough money to upgade to a Ford 9 in rearend. I'm not sure what to ask for the rear that's in the car now. It's got 28,000 on it,

Limited slip,
3:42 gears,
4 channel ABS,
TCS,
T/A Stud Gridle,
APR wheel studs,
Power slot rotors,
Hawk HPS pads.

If interested send me an e-mail to chrislkelli@hotmail.com

Val

Being here in Germany, you should get a good deal for it. Put it up for sale on a German site (http://www.mobile.de) or paper (auto or crash magazine). I've seen them going for up to $2K. (I know, way more than what someone will pay...)
Just give us here at the board a chance for it first!
P.S. Congrats on getting a 9-inch!

Do you also sell your drive shaft?
I would be interested in replacing my 2piece with a 1piece out of a V8... :)

Roy,
YOU BET I'M INTERESTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still have your e-mail from when you contacted Texas Speed & Performance. I'm trying to get ahold of Currie too. I'll let you know what I come up with. I sent you an e-mail on AKO today, check it out. I'm ready to order when you are

Predator,
Thanks for the offer I'll let you know.

Chrisv6,
I planned on keeping the driveshaft, but I might know of a place back stateside that will sell them pretty cheap. I'll research it and let you know if your really interested.

ssz28,
Thanks for the info, I wanted to give my fellow f-bodys a try before I went somewhere else. It's hard enough to get parts over here so I figure that someone might really need it or want it for their 3rd or 4th gen F-body.

Roy,
Drop me a line at chrislkelli@hotmail.com as I'm hearing that AKO might be having problems. I'll wait to hear from you before I order the rearend. Also I'm going to look into getting some POR15 to paint the rearend with so there will be no more "rusty rearend" out back. If you interested let me know.

ChrisV6,
I haven't forgot about you, been alittle busy at work and at the house.

Val

Don't want to seem like I'm "evesdropping" on your "conversations", just want to let you know that POR15 is some GREAT stuff. It really does work. You CAN get their sample pack sent through the mail. One sampler pack won't have enough to do an entire rear though. :( They also have more colors available now. Being hidden from the sun, you won't have to worry about it fading.

If you need a driveshaft I have a stock one I could sell you. I have an alluminum driveshaft thats quit a bit bigger than stock so It shouldn't need it again. The drive shaft is out of my 96Z and has new U-joints and has been rebalanced Oh yeah and they painted it black for me. The balencing and U-joints only have a hundred miles of use on them. I put my car on the road for 2 days before I came to this hell hole and stattered the ring gear (power :). I'll be home in a week and a half and I'll start pulling the car apart to fix the rear end and install a new flywheel so you can have it then. If you want it just post back to this and I'll check it or e-mail me at
guerardsgt@hotmail.com

SSZ28,
I was on the POR15 site lastnight checking out all the products and was trying to figure out if their sample kit would be enough to do an entire rearend. You answered my question...THANKS!!! I was also looking at their wheel polishing kit and was wondering ....once you use their kit and the wheels are polished will it retain the chrome like luster or would it have to be done repeatedly over time?? Don't worry you wheren't "evesdropping" on the conversation, I put it out there for everybody, you never know, there might be someone on the board that has a better idea or expeirence with what's being talked about

Forgot to mention that two kits should do it. You might be better off getting a kit and a pint of the color you want. The silver is "stronger" if you were to use it as a fiberglass resin. I actually used black to repair a rotted out bedside on a work truck. Layer of Por15, layer of fiberglass mat. About 4 to 6 layers, it lasted for over two years! (for all I know it's still good, truck was sold a few years ago) This was in northern Maine where the winters aren't very nice to your vehicle. Everything they say about their stuff is accurate. Just make sure that the surface is "rough" and wax and grease free.
One more thing, if you open a can, put a layer of plasic (saran wrap) over the top before you put the lid back on. Otherwise, you'll need a can opener to get to the stuff inside! :pat:  And yes, only time will get it off of your hands!

Hey sorry I'm trying to put 1994 TA with someone on baumholder. Are you the one that loaned me $20 at the auto hoby shop when my car was missing and then had the exhaust welded? If you are were are you at so I can give you back your $20, I tried to find you before we roled out but it was madness at the Rock. If your still there I should be back in a couple of weeks. If your here then It should be easy to locate you :)

If this isn't the guy then help me put a name to a TA :) Later Ryan

Before I forget It was about a 1/4 mile race and my car never hooked up once. I didn't even realize it until I drove back over the spot and noticed one hell of a skid pad :)

Roy and Val? Why are going w/ a 9"? Isn't that a little too heavy for auto X? I know it'll be a big improvement w/ the added weight in balancing the car but you don't hear of people using a 9" w/ autoX and road race.
Val will that 9" mesh w/ the LG TA or will you have to buy something else?
