OK, finally got around to tweaking with the file a bit, and did a "real" test on a T-Shirt ... not looking too bad, though the font still gives me some trouble - may need to locate the font to the outside of the logo to increase the size somewhat ... here's the current output:

Edit: this is the logo on the sweatshirt ... Font is enlarged some ...

Thanks ... I'm starting to figure out all the caveats of running the machine and how to set up the frame so that the embroidery comes out decently (the first runs were totally off due to the thread pulling the material together). Will do some other test with an iron-on material for underneath, seems to me the plastic stuff I bought isn't the best choice ... oh well ...
I guess I can start taking orders ... ;) Either drop me a mail (will need: color of shirt, size, #, what style shirt - T-Shirt, Sweatshirt, Polo), or check out the little shop I set up ...
As for colors, I should be able to get just about any color, black probably being the color of choice, dark blue/dark grey should also look halfway decent ... for other colors, please remember I do not fill the rear of the logo, so anything light colored will probably not have the logo stand out too well ...
I'm also planning on doing 4" Chevy logo, could also do a plain Pontiac logo if anybody is interested (optional with additional text line(s)). Anything else - just ask ... ;)

Well, successfully did a sweatshirt today ... decided the underlay material the local place sold me isn't working out - got to pick up some like that which came with the machine - the sweatshirt came out great, hardly any displacement during the embroidery ...
So, recon I'm ready to take orders ;)
I'll try to post a pic of the sweatshirt Monday ...

Looks really good Gary. Have you got a date of when they may be ready? I will take one black XL T-shirt, Thanks!

OK, folks, do me a favor and please put the orders in the online system ... for the K-Town area people, you can ignore the postage cost; I'll most likely be down some time soon again, either for an FBE meet or whatever ... COD ...
I'll see that I pick up a stack of shirts beginning of January (once I get at least some 10-12 shirt orders) and start putting the logos on ... from there, I can get them done pretty quickly ...
I'm also working on a Firebird logo, and can do a plain Chevy logo (with optional writing underneath) ... let me know if you have any other ideas or wishes ...

When you say, "polo shirt", do you mean t-shirt? Without collar?

That's what I thought, but I wanted to be sure you didn't mean something else. Will you be making any normal t-shirts? Maybe one with long sleeves? 8)

OK, at the moment I have heard/read requests for T-Shirts (short sleeve), Polo-Shirts (see above) and sweat shirts (thicker, long sleeve) ... I thought those names were more or less universally known ... ;)
I have been asked at the MR2 board for v-style pullover shirts, dunno if I can get any decent ones that are usable for embroidering ...
Any requests for certain colors or style, let me know - I will try to pick some up next week (need to get a good pile together to get the right prices) ...

I'd be happy with a black tshirt, a black sweatshirt and a dark gray t-shirt.

checked into the shirts today - good news is the dark blue shirts are really dark blue ... almost black ... bad news is the darkest grey will not really be dark enough, plus has to be special ordered ... so I'll take the grey off the list for the FBE logos ... just won't look right ... :(

Btw, made a simple Chevy bowtie, about 3.5 x 1.5in (scalable ... could go up to 4in wide) that you can get on shirts, too ... will put it up with the others ... anybody interested in the Pontiac logo?
