US spec car with ac. The car is currently being stripped and being turned into an over-sized go cart for the woods. Rear glass is gone and the windshield is cracked. Have a brand new fuel filter, oil filter, rear wheel bearings, timing belt and tensioner, most of the engine gaskets and a Chilton manual too in whats left of the trunk. Right now I can't give up any parts that will prevent it from running. If you do need something of the sort, let me know and when I'm done bashing it in the woods and if the part(s) is still good, you can have them. Engine is 1.8L with a 4 gear. Pictures will follow...
Any ideas on how high the car can get airborne without coming apart on landing? (The body will be stripped to make it as light as possible.)
Something I always wanted to do, he-he. Too much Dukes of Hazzard growing up I suppose.

best bet is to put duelies on the front , that way it can chew through the mud no problem. Getting airborne is a matter of speed v. ramp angle .
Thes two varibles will get u what u want . but it could get ugly

You'd have to make some serious upgrades to not expect to break something. That will be inevitable.. I'm talking serious suspension, and alot of other stuff! ;) Have fun, though, ripping it apart.

Don't need duallies just yet. Cut some "grooves" in the tires. Still haven't broken anything yet. With the roof and windshield frame now removed, the car flexes quite a bit. Looks funny when the dash moves down every time I hit the gas. That's where it's now flexing. Didn't flex that much before the rest of the metal was removed. That so called roll bar is doing a better job than I thought.
BTW, the new spare parts are still available.

How are the seats? If you haven't totally destroyed them by the time you're finished having 'fun', I might want them. :)

Driver's seat is a little messed up. Burned the fuzzy seat cover when welding, didn't bother looking to see how burnt the seat itself was. The track is worn out as the seat "wobbles" in it and every 5 minutes, I have to adjust the seat back up. Normally it's weekly, but driving in the woods...
If you want them, come and get them. Free - first come, first serve.
