Well, we might not have had a white Christmas, but we sure do have ourselves a white-ass New Year's!! I love this stuff. I just don't like to drive in it. It's fun in the bug, though..

@Jack: No snow up here yet ... partly I don't mind, as I save some time not spent cleaning the walks ... but then, I'd love to take the Toyota to some snowed-in parking lot and drift around some

That's fun stuff, Garry. I can't really do it with the bug, because there's not enough parking lot anywhere to build up enough speed. It has to be really icy to get any kind of good fishtailing or whatnot..

I personally like to take my P.O.S. mustang out and do donuts in the dead parking lots

You guys are crazy! Snow sucks one and strokes 2! How can someone love something so damn cold it makes your hands and feet numb? Alos, you have to shovel it all the time!
Yes, it looks good from a distance, but if it would only stay at a distance. Gimme 95F and 90% humidity any day!
Also, PARIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me guess - are you from TX or somewhere in that area originally?

My wife loves both, and I have never been, so I will be there next weekend.

Have fun, but if you are not fluent, do not even attempt it. It's not like most parts of Germany, where if you try, they at least respect that. They don't in "Gay Paris"!

Yeah, I'm from Georgia. We don't get snow there. Last year in Korea was teh first time ever seeing snow. I really don't like it.
And about Paris, you're right. The city was cool, but all the people can kiss my hairy white ass. How can a taxi charge you 100 euro to go 15 miles? He even turned his meter off before we got to where we were going.
I will NEVER go back to Paris!

It's one of those places you want to see, but after seeing it, you don't ever want to go back..

Well, guess that had to happen sooner or later ... Snow made its way up to Hessen, too ... this morning, it was still pretty much OK, as they hadn't started to put salt down yet, so the snow more or less just blew off the street where cars drove ... still it was enough to cause a truck to topple near Giessen (driver must have been speeding and been stupid to crash).
On the way back home, a bit further the same piece of Autobahn, a BMW took himself out on the now slightly worse road ...
Had just a bit of fun driving up the hill at home ... nothing bad, though ... at least not for my MR2
Oh well - off for some more shoveling & salt I recon ...

Yeah I love the stuff, but my job doesn't.
On News Years eve and the early hours of New Year, the snow, wind and temperature was just right such that the snow stuck to the electricity overhead wires. Once they get a few inches of "ice loading" they just snap.
I was in work from 5am New Year (still very drunk oops) to midnight on the 2ND. 2 days of hell.
Then guess what, the snow had gone!!!!!!!
So i missed it.
Mind you, we don't get snow like the rest of the world, We just get the wrong snow!!!!!!!!
