Those are probably all custom made parts. Anyone with money can do the same thing. There are a couple guys on here from the UK, though, so maybe they can help you out! It does look pretty sick, but I wouldn't want to drive it on the street. ;)

Looks ... hm .... low ... ;) Nice hood ... don't like the book shelf in the back, though ... and I do doubt TÜV would let me off their ground if they got to see it ... ;)

P.S.: welcome @omega!

Shouldn't be too hard to duplicate, only a couple of mods...
Wonder how much all of that costs???

I do like the rear fenders. Do you have any other pics?

Racing series was called Powertour, when this pic was taken back in 2000. Now it is renamed to "Formula Saloon Championship" and their homepage is:

http://www.formulasaloons.com/

Didn't find any information about particular car, it only says, that drivers name is Andy Chester and car was listed as "Camero"

May-be this info is useful for you.

Car looks similar to Trans-Am Camaro, could be, that someone bought one over here to race it against old BTCC cars, which seem to participate in this series.

PS. Another pic.[/url]

The hood almost looks like an oversized Elise ;)

Don't think so - look at the driver in the picture - looks like he's at the "usual" place ... !?

if it is based off the SCCA series which I think it is , the engine is moved back severely , ists not an ls1Motr and it is carburated.

Google just turned up with this:

Also, at this site it says:
Quote:
New to the 2003 championship and making a very welcome return to British GT is the Chevrolet Camaro of Andrew Chester, who will be partnered by Fred Moss in the mighty 6-litre machine. Chester's striking car was a popular feature of the championship in 2000 and has since been substantially rebuilt for British GT racing once more.

Also found some reports from 2003, where Chester at least ran pretty well, earning fastest laps etc ... (didn't read the report in detail)

His sponsor, AC Automotive Engineering, specialized (you might guess it) on US cars, does not seem to have a homepage, I was hoping they might have and would show some motor pictures ... oh well ...

I'd buy one if it had T-tops.

I got a sawzall. Give me 3 1/2 minutes and you'll have a T-Top. 2 1/2 will give you a 'vert if you want to save "time".
Thanx for the pics! was there any rear-views? Looks like the tail-lights are missing. Just wanted another angle to see just how much wider the rear fenders are.
I'd go to the site myself, but with a dial-up, it takes a while and I'm too busy/lazy to wait for all of the pics to download.

Nope, that's all the pics I was able to find ... was hoping to find some motor pics, but ...
