That's a first for me. Maybe he just didn't want them to oxidize(you know the white crap that develops). He should have put a nice layer of clear coat on them. I would say that he was going for the stock look, but the super charger gives it away.

Yeah rust is kind of far fetched. The black won't show dirt as bad and will prevent oxidation is what he said. But I garountee they are alluminum and hogged out just about as much as they will go. This exact head/cam package put 650hp to the wheels with a D-1 supercharger. They told me these heads breathe so well tey told me not to wast my money on a powerdyne. I'll probably overspin it.

Yes that is the plan. But who knows how long before I do. Once I get it running good I plan on focusing on brakes, then drivetrain, then suspension. After all that comes the D1. Who knows. I just have to see how well it does.
