 Post subject: Shift Kit

I was considering putting a shift kit in my car and just wanted get some more opinions on wether or not I should or basically what you guys think about it. If your for it any advice on where to go to get one? Thanks

transgo or B&M make real good hard kits or use the software adjust in a programmer

Go with the Trans-go. Too many complaints with the B&M and the "electronic" ones will cause problems down the road. All they do is up the fluid pressure all the time which will blow seals. :shock:

$110? from summit. Check out other tranny sites for better servos. They provide more fluid pressure to the clutches when you need it and they can be replaced with the tranny in the car and without dropping the pan. Just something to think about...

Thank you for all your help but I do have another question if you guys dont mind this is going sound real stupid but can I still put one in even if I have an automatic tranny or does that pose a problem

That's what they are for. Automatic transmissions. In a manual, you shift it how you want (almost)

If you have a standard transmission you are the shift kit. If you want solid short shifts its all up to you.
