Where is everyone? I know it's Winter, but come on. Is this board really this dead? I visit this site at least once a day, and I leave at least one comment. Most people don't even visit, and if they do, leave no comment to keep this site going. Let's get active, Spring is just right around the corner.

I'm here. I usually check once of twice daily. I should probably contribute more.

Mav,
I don´t think, Jack means us, who are visiting the board and posting sometimes, there are 5 to 10 members at the moment holding the board alive - where are the other 430 members, that are in the memberlist ???

Maybe I should just find something else to do. It used to be so different when we first started the club. I wish it was more like it used to be.

I think one reason no one is posting is because a lot of the new members havent had the chance to meet anyone. I propose that we have a little get together this saturday at the vogelweh shoppette. I am a new member and would love to meet some of the senior members out there. Also I think it would be a exellent chance to show the mustang club that where still here. Im going to be at the shoppette 15:00 saturday, I hope to meet at least one member.

That's a good idea. I wish my car was running, but I live in Vogelweh, so that's too easy!
Convertible, you are right- it would be nice if some of the other 400+ members could post sometimes!

Hey Jack, It's Sven..
I understand what you are saying...
due to a number of factors, other priorities as well, too much to say here... Things are quite quiet...
And Garry and I have had discussions about it- and I am well sure it is no secret to you...
Some of the older members have left Europe, but at least they should stay in touch with the FBE Website-
alas, it seems many of them don't...
Even if or when I leave Europe, I will still be in touch with FBE..
I was brought into FBE by none other than Hawk of the vilseck clan
An individual that shall forever have legendary status in my book....
and that is not even talking about his 400+ HP Fire Hawk...
That is so fearsome it tingles my nerves just to talk about it- or even touch it...
I wish SO MUCH that I could step up to the plate that Hawk holds so well.....Hawk would be supportive of this....
But I have other demands that severely limit my free time...I have mentioned in the past...
The members that do participate here definitely need to talk too each other more... I have learned so much from FBE...
even if it is just B.S. ing around, like the threads that me and squirrelina
have done in the past.....
and the newer members do need to participate in meets..... this will help give them a "foundation" in FBE.....It did for me......
I remember the days past when the Vilseck Clan got together and rolled..
6-7 F Bodies (mostly), mostly black, and notibly modded...
Anywhere we went, Autobahn, street, country road, strip, parking lot, airfield, where ever-
we ruled with total domination...and being a part of it has been an extremely rewarding experience for me, a person who was into high performance motorcycles, not cars, before FBE...
And while there are some factors that cann not be changed, such as world events..there are some that can...
The newer members do not know those "old days" ....we all need to help them see really what FBE is....they really do not know what they are missing...
Only the Hand of God could take me away from FBE....

Johnny, good idea. How about Feb 7th?? I'll try this again. No a sould showed up to the last one. This is my last try.
For anyone who wants to show up, come on down! All you new guys, this would be a great time to meet some of the older guys before the season starts.
Same rules apply. You don't need an F-Body to come out. You don't even need one to be in the club.
If anyone has any questions, give me a call @ 01752842836. Ask for Jason

What do you mean no one showed? It was you that didn't show. Wait, that was a while back and I haven't been able to go back. It's true that many members have left, so it's up to us to recruit more people no matter where we go. Glad to see that some new members are posting. Keep it up.

Regardless of how many "OG" members have left, this club needs to continue growing, and the current members need to participate as much as possible, to achieve the best possible name for this club! Nobody is more OG than me, and I'm still here, so let's do this.

Well, first I am a member of bandit-online and I noticed the FBE one year ago. My meaning is, that if you see and meet the people you are chating and posting at the board, you will have a closer relationship each other. That´s what I saw last 2 years, meeting people, I talked with over the internet but never met before.
It´s great to meet those you are talking with the pc to and who have the same interrests like you have. So, where is the prob ???
Hope to meet some people from the board this year - wherever - dasing - bitburg - danmark or the south of europe .....
And finaly - would it be a opion to make a spring cruise in the northern black forest - and after that visiting the meeting in dasing ????
Only an idea .... nothing thinking further .... like organisation - hotel - routes or something else
Any comments ?????
Martin

and you should meet at vogels..... whatever the name was ....
I am living in the ruhrgebiet near essen, dortmund, bochum .... and it´s not so easy to come to k-town or wherever you are close together ....
But if you have a chance to meet, so do it !!!!!!!

It is indeed quite different when you can actually put a face with the typing. Hopefully we'll have max participation this year. I'm really looking forward to this year's meetings and stuff.

Hey Jack, what you describe sounds like marriage, not a forum - he he. Ah, the spark is gone, the magic is gone. I suppose that's the price you pay for having a "turnover" in members. Believe me, if I was in Germany, I'd be attending but there are a few countries in the way.
If you get bored, try the forum on the British AACI site at http://www.aacint.com/forum They never stop posting!

SSZ28, yeah I remeber Nov 22nd. But I put a meeting on the calander for Jan 10th. I sat at the west gate of Ramstein for an hour and no one showed.
I'd realy like to meet some of teh people on here. There's only a couple of people that I've met in the 6 months I've been a member.
And the 2 times I went to Biburg, I only saw like 3 people. God willing, we'll have more participation this year.

I still think that if anyone has a chance to make it out there even if its for 10 minutes should be there. If I have to be the only f-body showing off and taunting the slow-stangs SO BE IT!

I hope there will be more paticipants when I get back there. This club is the only place you can get people to race against and be a match. All those jap toys cant even hang with me in 3rd gear. Any way I know what you are talking about Jack the members just join and dont contribute anything at all. I remember in 2002and 01 there used to be cruises and get together all the time. You would always see a group of Camaros cruising around in Vogelweh and Ramstein. Well I guess if it is Dead I will just hang around the other Mustang guys. By the way started putting my Stang back together this week . I should have it up and going by next week. I have made a few changes and should be good for a couple of tenths that would put me at 11.7 range.

I´m also at first a member of bandit-online and i know FBE only for a few month. But i like it very much here. But K-town is also very far away from me, about 500 km. It is to much, just for say "hello" and then drive back.
But i will be in dasing in may. I hope to see many of you there. I also want the spring cruise.
i think the same like Martin (convertible). Maybe we can meet us a few days before dasing.
