Brief history.

Bought it Nov 00 with 154,000 on the clock.

Image

First mod....Super Stealth Ram Air

Image

Next...Dynomax 2 1/2" catback

Image

Got tired of the stock wheel clearcoat flaking off, so I polished the wheels a bit. They did get purtier every time I polished them.

Image

After that I had to go to Korea. Before I got back on my mid tour, I ordered a few parts. The suspension was shot(185,000miles on the car), so I replace all the front parts with MOOG upgrades. Lowered the car with 2" Suspension Technics drop springs, Bilstein shocks, Herb Adams front and rear sway bars, and BMR upper and lower control arms. Here's a few shots after it was lowered. And next to my friends '94

During that same mid tour, I also had waiting for me my 8 PSI Polished ATI Procharger P1SC supercharger, TRI-Y mid length headers with Random Tech cats, Holley 52mm TB, Proform 1:6 RR and some Crane valve springs.

After my tour was complete in Korea, I decided to throw some Cmotorsports Stage 1x big valve iron heads, and Comp Cams EX 220/230 114ls cam.

Image

BUT!!!.........In the process of installing new knock sensors, one broke off in the block. After breaking a few easyouts off in the block, we had to pull the damn motor to get it out. What a bitch!

Image

Image

Check out the cross hatch still visable on the 188,000 miles cylinder walls. The LT1 is one bad mofo.

Image

Drove her 12 hours to Tulsa for the Impala SS Club of America show, and put her on the dyno.

Image

Spun the 2,3 and 4 main bearings on the run, and the 3-4 clutch was slipping so bad everyone outside the truck smelled it. Put down 350rwhp, and 409rwtq even with these problems. Bryan Herter(tuner) estimated that if everything was tip-top, we would have been around 500+rwhp and 560+rwtq mininum. To bad for me.

Couple of nice pics taken by a freind.

Now it has a fully forged 383 in, and still needs a new tranny. I have a 3200 Edge Street Fighter TC ready to go in it when that happens.

Here are a few links to some videos I made. You must register at http://www.imagestation.com to view.

After the supercharger install. Colorado Springs. 6000ft altitude.

Nice work Mav! I'm sure she sounds like a beast when she's running properly. Hopefully you get her over here before the season kicks off.

 Just a couple of mods... I can't get over the amount of mileage and the condition of the car. FYI, that last number on the odometer doesn't get counted.
Wanna trade?

Awsome car Mav 8)
Makes me want to cry...the first, last, and only time my wife wanted a new car was when she saw the Imapla SS. By the time she finally made up my mind, GM quit taking orders for them the week before... :(
Thanks a lot woman...
