? That is, first part of the journey back home? Congrats! So you might, just maybe, really be here for the May event?

Only 60 days and I'll be .............oh. Wait. My white ass will still be here fixin trash haulers that just fly around the flag pole. Damn I hate not having a real mission!
I spent so much time in Kuwait, then I PCS to Korea where we deploy NOWHERE! Then, the war kicks off and I have no hand in helping get that rat bastard out of power. I wasted over a year of my life sitting right at the border just wanting to do a little something, but, NOOO. You got to sit back and let everybody else get some.
Just my damn luck!

well now it is 59 days
Garry that is correct , Once we get to Kuwait we clean up all our equipment and get it ready for shipment. Maybe might make it for the first one maybe not.
Hot Rod , trust me you will be going to Kuwait first . That is the APOD ,then you will head to where ever in Iraq for 330 days. Best of luck man and take care .
Daddy I gladly trade places with you . I'm getting too old for this stuff . You can get all you need up here.
But let me tell you that C130 I flew in was maintenance impeccable , The AC was kickass cold .
And so the countdown will continue

Either way, stay safe the last 59 ... there'll be enough Slalom, Nürburgring and Hockenheim left

God, I hated that place, Iraq......
I've been there before, and I am trying to find away to avoid going there again....
I do hear of some people who feel "left out" of the Iraqi operation...
....there is an old saying.....
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR, BECAUSE YOU JUST MIGHT GET IT......
and another saying......
"THINGS" ALWAYS LOOK BETTER "FROM THE OUTSIDE".....

My friend just got back from Iraq and i had the good fortune of spending the past two weekends with her. She had some good stories to tell about complete and total boredom, and then some ones of IED's, RPG's, and ambushes...lol Fortunately she's back safe, so that's all the counts. Hope you stay safe as well on your return trip!

Well Roy I will not be seeing you in the middle east. I am not medically cleared. I tore a tendon in my ankle a couple of weeks ago and the doc will not give me clearance. I was looking so forward to going, yeah right. I probably be going later in the year. Good thing is that I will make the first part of the season of racing at Bit. Well good luck at CLUB MED.
