I went down and picked up my Z from the port in New Jersey the other day. I will say I was a little disapointed in how they treat our cars. I had a few problems with it when I got it, here is what they did. The alternator relocation bracket arm broke off completly, the new 285's I bought from john have huge chunks of rubber taken out of them (less than 10 miles on them) I have a really good header leak from them trying to either get it on or off the truck/boat, they left my lights on and destroyed my battery and a few scratches here and there. I pretty much got completly screwed over because they will not pay for any of the mechanical problems.
It took my father and I a couple of hours to get it on the trailor and what a pain in the azz it was. We had to suspend the trailor about 4ft in the air to get the gate lower to the ground. We put his truck right next to the traillor with jumper cables feeding the Z power so it would stay running while we were driving it up. I guess to make a long story short if you care about your car the way I do save a grand and ship private. At this point my venting is pointless and void because the goverment will always find away out of anything. If anyone knows the answer to these questions please reply.
1. why does the shipping place freak out as to how clean the car is inside and out while in the shipping process?
2. why do they give you hastle over a minor differential leaks or any mechanical flaw that doesn't hurt drivability?
The reason why i'm asking is because they damn sure didn't care when they gave it back to me. Those of you who know me know my car is always flawless and thats how I shipped it. When I picked it up it looked as though they dropped it in the ocean a few times. The car know has a good $1000.00 in repairs ahead of it but when I shipped it there were no problems what so ever (john was there as my witness)
Sorry about venting but there are just some things that don't make any since in my mind and they really pi$$ me off alot. The guy who ragged me for a minor leak in the diff should see the car now and maybe he wouldn't have hassled me so much. There is more to this story than told like individuals at the port playing with the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! etc, etc. I'll be on the board more often now so hopefully I can stay in touch with some of you. And once again sorry for the venting Later Ryan
John I'll call you sometime in the next couple of days.

sorry to hear!
In my family I was tought to always handle somebody elses property with highest respect.
Sad them moving, shipping and freight company workers obviously do not follow those goals.

Ryan, I'm terribly sorry to hear about that. I planned to ship mine privately, but I can't believe that this stuff really happens. I always liked to think it was just rumors, but now I know the real deal. I've seen them up at the port driving other people's cars. It sickens me beyond belief. Jealousy is no reason to screw up someone else's car. That is total bull$hit man, and I hope you get something back. Hell, if nothing else, get a notarized statement from John saying that he saw the car when it was turned in, and describing the kind of condition it was in.

When I shipped my truck through SC they had some scratches on my truck I told them to pay for damages or pay for court fees. I left with a check. I shipped the stang private I didnt want to risk it. I got the stang back the way i wshipped it.

Ryan,
Going out on a limb here but, it's probably because you are gay! People at the ship yard don't take to gay's very well. LOL
When I got mine back there was a huge scratch on the hood. They said it could be buffed out so I could either accept a $20 check or go fuk myself basically. On top of that, I ran out of gas in the middle of the fuking "hood" because my car had an ounce of gas in it. You would think they would have a refilling station at the yard since they ask for your vehicle damn near empty! WTF!?
Mike
P.S. You "bust a cap" in anyones @ss yet?

Whats up mike I just saw you in another PX sales flyer. I still can't believe you were modling womans underwear WTF! Well knowing you it's pretty believable, I still remember when you told me you sold your self to some 55yr old man, just to get a tac for your camaro.
Other than that yeah the port screwed me to. It really steams the Shi# out of me to see my car in that condition. I finally got her all cleaned and covered up. I figure I'll get it registered before this coming up summer so I can attend a few super chevy shows. If your still in SC give me a call at 1-704-989-0361. Talk to you later Fag:)

I haven't seen a vert yet but I'm still looking. Couple SRT-4's are here as well as Audi TT's. Wouldn't dream of subjectin my car to this enviroment w/ all the dust and dirt. I would be nice though to see their reaction though.

Little Korea? You ever see the real Korea. One thing about Incirlik is I never found a place that sold suits or rugs or anything. I also never saw any kids trying to sell chewing gum.
For all those who have never been, I'm being sarcastic....VERY sarcastic! All there are is people who try and sell "He said POOP" to you. Makes you want to punch them in the face.
Have fun John!

Mike I'm in Mass write now just chillin!!!!!!! If you call and get my answering machine just leave your # and I'll call you back. I should be coming down your way in just a few weeks or so, to get the wife so we can go house hunting up here.
John everything is the same old same. I'm in the middle of purchasing a $1300 TH700R4 tranny for the truck. As you probably already guessed I just blew mine the other day. I was driving up a hill and the truck just reved but didn't move any faster. I guess one of these days the problems will stop. I'm going to register the camaro this week since the weather is getting nicer and go cruizzzzzzing. I'll talk to you later and have fun in turkey land:) Ps. take a picture of that fags billboard and post it to the board:) J/k mike.

Ryan sorry to hear about your car.. they jacked mine up pretty good as well... but nothing that a new Y pipe, and $1,675 in body work couldn't fix.
