He's just doing a oil pan gasket from what I know. He may be rebuilding the engine w/ new internals and go 355 or 396. I'm not sure if he's gonna do it right now though but the oil pan gasket is being replaced.

Daddy you'll know when you see it. That chit is sweet. GAWD I love that color sometimes I wish I would've went that route but I couldn't do just because there would be 2 hugga's rollin the streets of Germany.

Jack,
Well I'm glad to hear that it is fixed. Yes broken parts= wasted money. I drive mine like I stole it, that is what I bought it for. If it breaks it breaks and $$$$$ goes down the drain but at least I'm having fun doing it!! Hopefully you won't have anymore problems with it.

Are you talking about Silas???????????????

Naw Val. Not me. Another member you've never met before that's been here for years. He'll finally rear his ugly head this yr though after a 4 yr hiatus.

I have my own problems as well. Spent almost 5,000 dollars to up grade to a stronger engine and the damn tranny is now the weak link. Can't keep a stock 700R4 under it. Now I have to buy one from the states for 1,400 dollars that garantees 675hp. The problem I have now is how to get it here. Does anyone know of a shipping company that can handle this?

The 700R4 is definately the weakest link on any chevy with power behind it, you got two choices

1. if your going to order a tranny and have it shipped get the 93 4L60 and not the 4L60E. You can use the 4L60 out of a 93 camaro and all you have to do is repin the plug and your on your way with a much stronger transmission for the price. But again shipping is going to be a fortune.

2. Build your own to be bullet proof. Thats what I did for my 92. I ordered all the stuff online (best of everything) and the wole thing cost me $900 but I don't have to worry. Upgraded everything in the Tranny to include the torque converter. Check this site out and read #13 Rebuild kit. Thats what I went with and then some extras. If you choose this route let me know, there are some other things you'll most definately need that they don't really tell you. The company is really great and were more than helpfull with shipping and with any questions I had during the rebuild.

JC? WTF?! Where you been hiding at? What's the status on the 94? Hope you got it up and running now instead of playing w/ other projects! I'm tired of seeing all these LS1's running around here.

HOT ROD,
Who ever you go through see if they will send it BAX Global, that's who I had 2 ford 9in rears shipped through and it was cheap, picked it up at Farnkfurt 2days after they shipped it!!. TCI, B&M should be able to do that with NO PROBLEM

Val

NO LS1s down here!!

Val, I'm glad you can afford to fix it every time you break something. I, on the other hand, need to put that money elsewhere.

Thanks man, I will see if they can use that shipper. Do they deliver to your home or do you have to go and pick it up at Frankfurt? The company that I am going through is fearthemonster.com out of Florida. They build some bad @ss transmissions at a very good price. TCI and B&M are just to expensive for the name.

Roy,
You know it's no problem, it was my pleasure to take care of that !!

Jack,
I have been very fortunate so far and have not broken anything (knock on wood). My wife gives me a car allowance so I make every penny count. Now my 73 on the other hand is a FREAKING MONEY PIT. I hope your string of bad luck with broken parts changes.

HotRod,
No on the delivery to the house. I had to go to the airport to pick it up (really easy to do). MAKE SURE thatt if you have them use BAX that they have YOUR german phone # so when it arrives you can go get it before they start charging a storage fee. Moser put their phone # down for the contact # when it hit Frankfurt, It is really quick & easy!! Don't blame you on going through somebody else for the tranny, I went through TCI for my (73 Firebird)TH400 and it was $$$$. Good Luck

Val

When are you going to upgrade the cam??? Which one are you looking at???? I've kinda got my eye on the TREX cam from thunder 451hp on stock heads!!!! Rims took all the $$$ for now. What are you wanting for it???

Well, I really only need the yoke. If you think you could find me one, that would be great.
