Bruce,
Your the only one that I know that has the Volant intake. Do you still have it?? I was looking at picking up one but wanted to ask some questions first. Is there any real power difference between the aftermarket lids (SLP, Whisper, LGM....) & the Volant?? What about between the Volant and the K&N FIPK?? What all did the Volant come with, did you have to modify anything to put it in. Lastly would you buy something different now if you could???? Since the first time seeing the Volant on you Hawk I've wanted on, but can't see buying it if I'm going to loose power or have to modify a bunch to put it in.

Thanks
Val

Since you have Ram Air, it will work good. I bought the K&N FIPK, but without Ram Air, it only hurt me, as the air really didn't have a clear path of entering the intake. In my opinion, after seeing Bruce's car with it on, I think it would work better for you than a normal air lid if it is sealed properly. I think it would work better than the K&N, too, given it's sealing abilities.

I like it better than the lid and it is totally functional no modifications needed and I like the way it looks when you pop the hood.

How did your STB turn out Bruce? I haven't seen your car since '02, so I'm just wondering.

Quit picking on my Roy! I am very indecisive, and doctors still haven't been able to diagnose my case properly. IT IS A MEDICAL CONDITION.

Anyway, Bruce I sold the chrome one to Garry, 'cause it was getting too hot, and I just sold the silver BMR to JohnnyV89. I want to go back to the Hotchkis design, so if you don't sell me yours, I'll just order the polished one from Tbyrne!

Dude you gotta a medical condition for real? Is it possible we all got it too? :D

I don't know whether to take you serious or not but you know I mean no harm either way.

I got rid of all my polish stuff as well. I'm too old to being that crap. I'm sticking to K.I.S.S.

I gotta FIPK too but I've drilled either side to allow some cold air in. If I did it again, I'd do something different.

Did you drill any underneath? That was a good idea!

Looks like it's going to be the Volant. Do you think I should go ahead and remove the rain baffles inside the scoops?? I've already got a buyer for the whisper lid that is on my car right now. I'm doing it mainly for looks. I didn't want to loose any hp by switching over. Thanks for all the replys!

No. The reason is that the filter gets pretty dirty so I figured feeding both sides with cold air would be enough but I wouldn't have to clean the filter every week.
