I keep getting flyers from the following company: http://www.reiderracing.com/home.htm Their ECTED type diff looks interesting. Just another place to check out to help you make a better choice as to what rear you plan on getting.

Yeah, it's hard to choose from just one place! It's actually a nightmare.

Hey just watch what you pay for. Auburn is notorius for burning their limited slips. But the flip the switch and it becomes a sort of spool setup might be good.
I just think ARB has the market cornered on this already ,
Either way both are very pricey.

Hey Roy, can you put a Detroit Locker in a 10 bolt? Does it require a ring/pinion setup?

Jack I don't think They make a locker for A Gm 10 bolt. But if they do yes you would have to check the setup.
Val It is not as bad as it sounds for the Auburn.

I saw some detroit locker that didn't require a gear setup, but I believe that was for an ATV.

I found a DL for a 7.5" 10 bolt with a 28 spline. I'm going to call them and verify whether that is for my app..

BTW, what gear ratio did you get, Roy?

Roy,
Now I understand why they told me I had to put 2 bottles of limited slip additive in it. I should of got the Locker but money was driving the train at the time. Make note to self.....use this as excuse to get the Locker w/4:11s & aluim center section.......start bugging the wife in 8 1/2 months....... Oh, I've noticed that the 4 wheel drive parts houses have the best prices for the lockers and gears
Jack are you going to put in c-clip eliminators when you do the gears and carrier?????

I'm gonna try to avoid it Val. If I go with the 9", I'm probably gonna get c-clip eliminators. Those things rock!
