Oh believe me, I've been ready to taste performance, and that is exactly what I plan on doing after school, and even during. I just need to get started, before I get too old to learn anything anymore.
I don't know if this makes sense to anyone else but me, but this is what I feel like I need to do. My wife even said that she would not have so much of a problem with me fixing the car all the time, if it was an older car. I should really listen to her more often.

Sorry I haven't replied earlier, things happening here out of my control if you know what I mean!!
garry, Thanks for keeping the count!!!
Jack, the rearend only has 30k on it and is fine, I wanted to get it swapped out while I had the money. Everything is there except the brake componets(backing plates, calipers, lines) The cover is like the T/A cover except it is from LGM. It also has wheel studs but your stock lugs will still work fine. It's sitting in my basement in the same box the 9in came in. You want it let me know and I'll give you my home # and you can make arragements with my wife to come pick it up. I would deliver it to you but I'm here.
I understand the old school deal, that is why I kept my 73 Firebird, not many of them around especailly with the 455 I got rid of a 71 Firebird when I came to Germany in 91, I swore that I would never get rid of my 73....now I got the best of both worlds. It sucks not being able to drive it but hey I know where it's at and it's safe from the elements!!

Stay alert and waste the bad guys if they try anything. Don't hesitate and let yourself get hurt.
