Bottom line up front, I'm not trying to kick anyone in the balls. I'm only venting.

I've seen it on LS1.com/LS1tech.com/LT1tech.com/Corral.net/Stangnet.com/SVTPerformance.com/SVTOA.com and countless other sites. What is with the 13 year old bashing?

There are plenty of you out there (and you DEFINETALLY know who you are) that have a fast car with a $hithead driver.

I dont care if somebody is driving a KIA, if they are actively supporting the sport, and doing what they can (finacially or performance wise) then thats what they can do.

So what if your LS1 beat a Mach 1, or our GT beat a SS. There is healthy competition, and then there is pre-puberty. I havent posted this on the MM site (and I dont go there) because I no longer own a mustang (same as I dont go to the LS1 part of this site if I can help it.)

Basically if my views are accepted, or if there not, I'm gonna be one of the few that say, put up or shutup. Sure you can race a big yellow school bus from the light and beat it, but if the bus driver is a enthusiasts, then you owe him some props for doing what he/she can with what he/she has.

I would own over 99% of you 12 ways to sunday, but if your for real I would accept that and give you a big thumbs, offer to buy you a drink and basically just shoot the $hit. Dont dump on someone with less (or more, as the case may be) for having fun and doing what they enjoy. Be cool about it, have fun, LEARN, and further the sport.

If this seems out of the blue, its because I've seen so much of this after the Bitburg race. Alot of those mustangs guys (for lack of a better term) couldnt drive if there life depended on it (as the results show). But the funny thing is, that how many LS1's were in the 14's for christs sake (guess its not just a Ford thing)

Vent off
Have fun
Rob

Chill Dude!!! It's all in fun. If Camaro and Mustang guys can't bash each other, it takes a lot of the fun away. It's nothing serious. Hell, my son has a Mustang and I have fun beating him, while I can. By next year, I won't be able to and that is OK too. Hawk can kick my butt, and did, but it doesn't bother me. The important thing is having fun. I've even been beat bad by Bugs over here.

RobH,
I agree with what you are saying about giving the "thumbs up" for trying or beating me, it's all in fun and compition. I'll race anything I don't care if a get my butt handed to me or if I hand someone their's it's the thrill of it all. In my opinion, I can't drive m way out of a wet paper bag if someone towed me out.....but I'll still run you everytime I see you....that's my outlook.

jonnyv89
when I saw that photo I couldn't stop laughing.......that was good. At least your buddy has a good sense of humor!!

I think that the smack talking is what gets alot of people to get involved in different events. If not to race to come and watch. Hell Hawk knows I'd smoke him in the 1/4 mile with my eyes closed  ..........as long as his car was parked in the parking lot. My point is just like jonnyv89 said can't take it so seriously. When you think your the fastest there will be somebody faster......but the compitiion is AWESOME.

just my .02cents and anybody that wants to run let me know I'm game even with my 17sec 1/4mi LS1!!!!

They are pretty hard to offend and are pretty ruthless to each other also.

The "pony" wars have been going on since '67. That's just the way it is and won't end anytime soon.
Besides, I drive a real car that can beat any of them non-driving wannabes in their rustangs!
Keep the "war" going, it's what keeps the sport alive! 8)
