actually, it's a feature I added to the board some time back ... When people posted large pics, or long links, the text of all posts in the thread would wrap outside the display area, making it hard to read ... if you have a larger display, it won't display the horizontal scroll bar, it adjusts to the window size ... (my 1024 width screen shows it, but on your pics, hardly any scrolling is necessary)

I think I'm in the wrong country ... all this stupid country seems to have (and want) for cars are Golfs, Opels and the likes ... :yuck:
Talking about Opel - did anybody see the new Opel adds on TV for their new cars? If I'm not mistaking, they have an early second gen Firebird right at the beginning ... though I doubt he could catch up with it with one of the cars he stopps

Hope you get it. Nice truck and yes, they do sit up kinda high! Yours seems to be higher, but that could be because my front springs are worn out. No more arch at all. IFS coming soon...
Garry, I wouldn't mind owning an old Diplomat. 327 Corvette, TH400...that would make one great sleeper!

yea it is almost done. just little crap. we have already done all the the big stuff. relocated gas tank. removed door handles. roll pan with billet tail lights. tailgate cover with a embossed bowtie on it. put a newer 12 bolt in it with a detroit locker. frame off resto it just looks bad because it has been sitting in the same place for alteast 6 years. but hey if I hadn't been a stupid teenager I wouldn't be into f-bodys like I am now. I will look to see if i have any more pics but i don't think i do cause a gave up my old computer before i was done with it.
and on the height the trail ta tires that it's sitting on don't help much.

Bottom half will be in primer and possibly some clear to seal it for the boat ride back. Truck ran great before the mods, just gotta get the timing and the carb set up right. PITA without a timing light and vacuum gauges.
Hard to believe that I have just about every tool but the important ones.

Actually, the big problem is that I can't leave things alone. Even if there is nothing wrong, I want more out of it. Now I'm having a hard time finding the time to "fix" my upgrade.
BTW, all of this madness started when I was about 12 and tried to modify our 8hp riding mower. I also used one to many moth balls in the gas tank. (Naptha is like a form of nitro, works better in two-stroke dirt bikes than the mower. At least that's what I was told back then...) Mower ran like a raped ape, but wouldn't run after I shut it down. Pistons weren't to happy and melted a bit. Dad was not amused...

It's alive again!!! Finally had time to go play under the hood. Looking for vacuum leaks, playing with the distributor and finally I noticed what was wrong. I had a couple of plug wires crossed. Damn thing still ran OK, idled great and everything. Just ran like dookie at higher revs. Now the truck really wants to scream. It did one hell of a smokey in front of the house. The cloud was still present after parking the truck a few minutes later. Just got to fine tune it at the craft shop to ensure that I'm getting better than 2 mpg or that I'm not running so lean that it melts the pistons. This way I can play with this Cobra that's running around post. There's also this Mach 1 (new, not the cool old skool) that won't play with the SS. (chicken, or he knows better...) Wonder if I can get him to lose-I mean play with the truck?
The bottom half is now dark gray primer with a clear coat. Still needs body work, but I wanted to "seal" it up before it goes on a boat for the long journey back home. It looks a LOT better than the 13 different shades of primer before...

I love the way 57's look but I might be alittle biased.
good luck with it on the boat and treat her right when you get her home.
