I'd have to agree there. At least they could've sown the patches on before taking that picture.

I'm pretty sure you don't have them sewn on anymore. You just unvelcro them, and wash them or go on your mission.

:? Is this for artic climates? That pic with the soldier posing/shooting kinda stands out. (HEY! I'm over here!!!) That collar has gotta go. Might be OK in the winter though... Reading the improvements sound good, but it still looks like crap. Good on paper, but...

I don't know what teh problem is about the new AF one. I think it looks pretty cool. Its just different and people fear change. I just hate that we can't shine the boots.

*gg* - I think I must have been the only person during my draft time at the german base that had shining boots ... clean, all, but shining ... german army boots aren't made to have shining caps ... it took me about four months, then mine were ;)

Nope ... nothing special, though, just the usual german "Flecktarn" BDU ... being tall and big, I was one of three guys to get the then new uniform (all the other draftees got the old single-color uniform)

hey jack I think there is only one of them and it is for all situations that we could be put in. and call me a $hit bag but I really don't enjoy shinning boots and pressing my uniform I am to lazy I guess. I get it done and I don't do a bad job but I would rather not have to do it. When I get home from work I don't want anything to do with it. I just wanna sit and chill. but ya do what ya gotta.

I think it looks gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. I really don't care for having all of my patches secured with velcro. I wonder whats going to happen when a soldier looses one in a cammo net ar15 or will they let it slide or shi$ just doing laundry for that matter. The whole uniform just looks plain stupid and I'm personally going to feel pretty rediculous wearing it. I wonder who sits up high designing these things and says hey that looks good (retards). Just like the AF uniform with there blue sweyed shoes what the hell is going on these days. Whats next they put us in kilts for a summer pt uniform and the Commander and 1sg can play the bag pipes for some music.
