Here she is. Arrived in the UK on the 12th June and cleared customs on the 16th. Since then I've been ripping it apart getting all the lighting bits done for the SVA test - it's been a nightmare really and frustrating to say the least but I'm halfway there now.

In many ways, I still prefer the Camaro with it's lazier auto and more comfortable seats but this thing begs to be driven more but then with 405bhp, it damn well should.

Yeah, like Daddy said, you can't get a convertible. You can't even get a targa top! Only hardtop!

beause it might get "raped" like my bird did this weekend....there was some un wanted "puncturing and penetration" in the rag top...along with several items missing from inside...I'll post pics when im done with the polezi. I also noticed a major flaw on how to get into the convertible top Fbody very easily...unfortunatly it looked like it was the persons 4th attempt.

I pondered at length about whether I should buy a convertible, a coupe or the Z06. In the end, I felt the performance was the key and the handling. I have the targa on the Z28 so have a choice but I wonder (as you always do) whether a vert would have been better - but then the UK is the biggest European market for verts and it rains more than anywhere else. Go figure!

I'm a barrister BTW and this is the first expensive car I've ever bought, spurred on by the fact that many people are out buying cars for £25k. I figured I could get a supercar for that money and show them a proper car!

That's awesome Lusi. I am really happy for you, and for the way the British economy is doing right now! Now go show them folks a thing or two.

Yeah, the 'vette looks cool. But I really wonder is she so much better to justify the almost double price?
You had done so much to the Zs suspension. If you can afford, you should keep the Z28. Its very easy to fix childs seats in the rear.........who knows what comes next???

I am keeping the Zed as I have a 4 year old daughter. Besides, I have an emotional attachment to that car. It still seems like yesterday that I bought it and I've had it nearly 3 years. I guess with all the mods I've done, it's always seemed like a different car and surprisingly, it still stacks up well against the Z06.

The fact is that I imported the Z06 for under £26500 and there is a yellow 2002 Z06 with 10k on the clock for sale here at £40000! Two have just sold for £35000 so I won't be losing any money any time soon. I have toyed with the idea of selling it and making a nice profit but we'll see....
