After the fun I had last weekend, I was checking out the rules and regulations on the ADAC plus membership ... found this:

§ 6 Für welche Schäden haben Sie keinen Schutz?
c) die bei Beteiligungen an Fahrveranstaltungen entstehen, bei denen es auf Erzielung einer Höchstgeschwindigkeit ankommt und bei den dazugehörigen Übungsfahrten.

(which damages are not covered -- for participation in events that aim to achieve highest speed and the test runs)

So, if you do happen to have a technical problem during an event in Bitburg, Eisenach or whereever - make sure you were only there as a spectator

Oh, and to those who told me ADAC would have brought me home last Sunday together with the car - according to the information in the coverage docs, the transport requires several things ...

- the defect has to have been documented by a car workshop
- it must not be possible to fix the defect the following day after the defect

ok... so the defect happened on friday, should have tried to fix on saturday, trailered home on sunday.
instead, you waited for sunday, and got the fix on monday, and had to drive home on your own.

you know I would have trailered you home if I did not have to worry about two other trailers already - would have been monday until I got to bad hersfeld as well.

oh and by the way everybody:
if you got a car problem, always better to bring it outside the gate... the problem happened on the way TO the event...

Well, I WAS trying to get a replacement throughout Saturday ... getting it fixed at the german place wasn't really that cheap ...
