... finally a warm day, finally dry this morning, and I decide to get some work done for the timing display - now that I've reached a point of it working so far, and I could go out and get the car cleaned, we have a thunderstorm ...

Lucky for you you don't live at northern germany. rain and thunderstorms more or less since last 4 weeks. car wet and dirty 24h a day. hope weather will change to better within next two weeks for germanys biggest us-car-meeting street nationals hannover ( August 7/8 ).

Maybe Bavaria is nicer at summertime but almost hell for F-Body at winter. In Schleswig-Holstein you can drive your car the whole year because there is almost not so much snow and ice.

i spent 1 year in alabama 5 years ago and i gotta say..
..well, i prefer the noticeable change of seasons and weather situations; some time to cool off, some time to enjoy heat.
atm it's really nice here, sun during the day and rain @ night to indulge us with a refreshing morning breeze

This is Eckernfoerde, my hometown, 30 KM north of Kiel not far away from Danmark at Baltic Sea laying in a Bay called Eckernfoerder Bay.
Most people always asking me where I spend my holidays and all I can say is "I live where other peoples doin' holiday". This is not the Town where I'm born but I live here since 1990 due to a "official job" I made for a while.
I took this first small picture from eckernfoerde-homepage but I made some last sommer with my cam. Here are some for you if you like...
a little fishing boat on its way out ....
a lot of old and nice ships
during summertime and at kiel week the harbour is full of famous and expensive yachts and sailing boats so you can't even see the sky with all these masts.
this former shipping boat is now an restaurant where you can eat fresh fish of all kinds the whole summertime.
as you can see we also have a naval harbour. Eckernfoerde is base of whole german submarine fleet. I've been a german soldier for about 9 years at last as chief petty officer / master sergeant for combined sonar- and torpedosystem on submarines class 206A ... and I shot USS Billfish (AttackSub) in Maneuver ... any questions draftees???

I knew this question the moment I told you the story.
The answer is: I knew this car and tried to contract the owner for some small talk but never met "him" and after a while I heared it from a few people.
