I am not bashing on Bitburg either. I think it is the only place where you can get a good time slip for your car. Like I told Garry, if it wasn't for Bitburg there would not be any actual drag racing over here. I had a full race car over here from 94-97 and there was no place to run it. It sucked. As for moving the quarter mile back 100 feet to get my 12 second time slip, I will be in Bitburg in September and it WILL go 12s. Headers + y-pipe + intake + computer tune = 12s.

Don´t try to make Bitburg like RaceWars.
It´s different, and it´s good that it´s different.
Perhaps the serious racers will stay away and you will have people there you don´want there (and you´ll need a whole bunch of security people to keep the crowd under control). Bitburg is the place to see what your car can do (by accurate numbers) and serious motorsport, RaceWars is party, showing-off and drinking. I think you can´mix both.

Yeah, I also remember that we we´re like the only people still awake at 2.00 or so... but that´s ok, if i want to see strippers i´ll go to RaceWars... ;)

That Cars are the Stars looks pretty cool. I drove by there last night and saw a sweet Chevelle right where the entrance is. I will try to get there around 12-2. I just need to add some more tranny fluid to that deep sump tranny pan I threw on yesterday and tune on da Holley Double Humper a bit. I wish the auto hobby shops would stay open a few hours more. It's always "clean up time" right when you're about done with what you're fixin'!! Maybe I'll see some of yous down there.

not trying to make Bitburg like racewars at all !

but unfortunately, after running around for three years trying to get everything together and organized well, had a rough long way going,
after this past successful weekend which almost filled up the parking lot with spectators and campers from all over europe - not everybody did run the quartermile, many just came for party and show(ing) -
however, NOW I got 2 strip-bars applying, 3 discos like to participate, another 2 security companies want to join the money split and say they can make it better, 4 vendors like to get in on the event...

well, I told them all: I stick with those who helped out from beginning on for no money making.
except the strippers phone number I kept - just in case Daddy coming back and asking for a stripper as he did many times before !

Well I stopped by CARS to see everyone in the rain. Same cars and quite a few new ones. SUV's are taking over is seems along w/ the Neons. Sorry for not talking w/ anyone I just wanted to see what was out there. 4 Fbodies from what I gathered. Tons of people despite the rain and free entry to the event.

May check it out tomorrow if the weather has cleared.

Race wars was great. about 3000 cars and lots of eye candy. Ran 11.42 a Audi A3 (race car) with 600 Hapees was the only car that beat my time he ran 11.40 timing system is a big stopwatch no RT ,60ft MPH nothing just a handwritten #.

I think Jason will post some of the candy today

RaceWars really rocks!

I drove up just at sat midnight and it was still worth the party.
And like already mentioned the candy and "racing" next day, wow!
I think Mike had fun, John and Jason tried to have fun, but at least took photos - and i, well, uhm, did a very quick nitrous install...

Of course i´ll try to be there in September,too (10th - 12th).

Hm ... I thought I read somewhere that they'd have timeslips this time ... so they were handwritten timeslips? Well, I guess as long as the folks that come don't want anything more ...

Question.... Did I have a better time than anyone else in the world?

Well, except for Hugh Heffner, I think so!

Another question.... (you know what it is)
