Monika, I hope I didn't turn you off of Eisenach because it isn't bad at all,,, you can get as involved as you want and the girls don't get all over the guys unless they want them to...The American made cars are the celebrites there NOT the guys,,, It is a GREAT time and I hope you can make it to at least one of Eisenach and of course Bitburg is great...but we will be glad to see you and Vadim at either and all events...

Bruce I did not say that. You know that I only do road racing. Gerry and were speaking of a new test of a 2004 Z06 that was tested stock at 11.89 at 118MPH, so we surmised that with my mods I should be able to hit mid 11's, but I can't drive the 1/4 worth a crap, heck I would be lucky to be in the 12's with my 1/4 driving skills, but doing some of the road racing that is another story. Well anyway, I will probably let some one seasoned in drag racing like you Bruce flog my car to see what it can do. I really am going up there to see what It has as a baseline for the next phase:), not that I will be doing any 1/4 mile much, I just am curious to see what she's got. I know I can beat a 911 Twin turbo on the autobahn and pass him and I kept a Lambo Diablo at bay as he was slowly getting smaller in my rear view, that is what I love doing the most. I am getting an on-board video system that will have 4 cameras and I will be posting videos on my link called Euro Kills and wil front and rear views of my high speed autobahn runs and kills.
BTW, I am all stock too:) My sig is out-dated!
Nick

Nick. I'd like to see those kills. I know you are considerablly lighter than a fbod by like 300-400 lbs. So a head and cammed LS1 w/ headers should do well. But pullin on a Lambo? Diablo or Murc? Dude don't know how to drive that's all there is to be said about that. You running gears or you still stock? When you droppin the 427 in?

Hey Nick bro,
Flog it yourself and don't worry about the ET , For what you and me and a couple of others do , the mph is what is important to us.

Roy,
Yeah! What he said! I will do some serious flogging and grunting myself, just to see what I can do with my 1/4 mile skills, but I think that I iwll give Bruce a chance to really flog it to see what it can be done in a seasoned veterans hands as opposed to a rookie. What trap speeds are you doing now? I don't even want to guess what I will do yet. The 427 may have to be on hold, the new Z06 is supposed to have a 500HP and a 427 in it and over 200MPH top speed, yeah baby. So I guess I will do something like Bruce did and mix up the internals with some bolt-in parts, not quite a 427 but bif enough, time for the winter mods. Hey, you will not believe this, but I did a 39MPH wheel spin from a rolling start, not like the IROC when we did it at 50MPH with the blower. My old IROC is sitting in K-town, maybe I will see it next week. Ed Roelle has it. When he started it up, he scared some Ford guys just by the start and idle..the engine is an RHS magnum special, dynoed at 425 and plus the blower with off road pullies, he should have close to 600HP off the bottle. I can't wait to see my old IROC run again. Are you going to be at Bitburg next time? Do you have any "Water Wetter" and how do you post a picture in your signature.
I am installing my Ron Davis aluminum Racing radiator with engine oil cooler next week..and maybe I will let tehm put the rear end and tranny coolers as well with my new 2 auto-meter Cobalt series temp gauges..so much work, so much little time.
Take Care
Nick

Nick. This IROC you speak of. Is it red? I know some guy who has one but it isn't registered sitting in a stable w/ a bunch of Mustangs and 3rd gens in various stages. That wouldn't be yours would it?

Yes that is mine, I miss the red beast, it has complete forged internals with racing heads and blower grind cam, it was dynoed at 425 and about 600 with the blower running off road pulleys. Shoudl be qucik if yo uget some traction, after that mod, it became a 1/4 mile car, but I never ran it, story of my life, well finances and personnel reasons and I got rid of it. So now it is in K-town in a stable with stangs.
This is where I got the engine:
RHS Performance Engines
3416 Democrat Rd.
Memphis, TN 38118
901/794-2830
It cost me about $6000 back in 94 and that was dynoed at 425 with port matched heads and intake, no blower.

425 @ the wheel in 94. That is no joke back then or now. Hope he gets that car on the road soon I'd like to see what it can do.

Your ZO6 is so much different now Nick! I remember passing you back in '01 I think, in Enkenbach-Alsenborn, and giving you a friendly rev. Do you remember that?

Yes, I remember that. I was not into modding my car then as I am now, you guys have caused me to have a mod addiction, but I love it! How is the car running now?

It's good, but I just replaced the slave cylinder, and I think I should have just replaced the master cylinder. The thing that pisses me off is that I already have the Mcleod adjustable master cylinder. Oh well, if that's what it takes to be able to drive, I'll deal with it.
Oh and as for the mod bug, it bites hard, and continues to bite- even when you think you've gotten rid of it.

yeah I know what you mean, I think they call it "Mod Fever" once you have it the only cure is to keep modding or die!
I went through a slave cylinder on the vette, it was under warrnty though, there is a GM technical bulletin about clutches sticking to the floor and coming back, I would see if that applies to your car too. The Mcleod slave is real good.

I have the upgraded slave cylinder, but now I need to get another adjustable master cylinder. Mine is 3 years old, though, so it has probably been updated since then! I think they went from plastic to billet. The RAM is cheaper though, so I might just try that one.
