okay, its been atleast a year since i did this, so its about that time for me to once again act arrogant.
(I'm really not trying to be a ass, its more tongue in check, but i am serious about the rules)

Here are the rules

1. Since you will be facing a much badder advisary this time, if you can get within 1 sec of me $100 (Hawk you are pressing me, you know what i had to do to get my competition license?)

and those are the rules

Once again a time slip will be required, and I will give you a $50 bonus if you beat my trap. I wont be tuning until april, so that gives you some time to get your $hit straight. I will make the payout in May, so anything with a date up until 30 april is valid. (go ahead a print this out if you think I'll squirm)

For a target figure what a 900hp 408 will do with a 3100# car. (I have them both, but no numbers, hence the data so you can do the same math I have).

For a target figure 9.20 @150 (my cage is only good to a 8.50. Until I get the X brace under the car that is  )

See you in the funny pages
Rob

I'm gonna run next year N/A, but might try the crack a couple times.

The engine will be a 408W with Victor heads, about 14-14.5:1. There will be a direct port fogger and a 2nd stage plate (plate wont be ran much, we are having problems with this setup, but thats another story). Basically 250 on the fogger, and 125 on the plate.

All I can go off of is another very similar car. Off the sauce he would run 9.??? very high 9 though. It was only 1/8 passes and he ran 6.8-7.1.

Once I feel comfortable, and the engine mack daddy feels he has learned what the motor likes we will step it up with some juice. There is no way I can run what the other 10.5 cars are running with 402-412W combo. They run anywhere from 8.04 @170mph - 8.30@160mph.

I'm gonna be slow, and if I can get anything lower than 9.5@155 I will feel like a success. The car will have way more than this inexperianced driver. Last year it ran with a keith craft 347 that dynoed 718 (engine dyno). It would '60 1.30 on the back tires, so the chassis is sound. Now it has full anti roll, and a full 10 point that is connected top/bottom/front/back into the frame. We are gonna go ahead and put the driver funny car cage and x the floor so it will certify 7.50. I figure that since the cert is good 3 years and they change the requirements every year it would be smart to do that.

My plan is to have the car ready, and shaken out enough to debute it at the April opener of the Clash of the Titans in San Antonio (the finals is this weekend. WOO HOO!) So if you want to come up Jack I will be in the True 10.5 class getting blasted back to oklahoma in the first round :) .

Basically this whole post is because I wanted to talk, so dont think I'm trying to make anyone feel bad or talk "He said POOP". Everything I said is for real, and I hope nobody takes this the wrong way.

To answer your question Hawk, here is my safe sided prediction. I figure that I will run 10.ohh-10.30 @135-145. If the motor cant get it done, then I may have to load up on liquid courage (kidding guys) and come off the line with the foggers blazing :)

Rob
