Usually we see alittle smack talking before an event, what's happened??? I know that I don't have the fastest car here by any means 1/4 mile or auto-x but I'll be more than happy to start some smack talkin! I'll be there on Sunday AM bright and early.

I'll be up at the auto-x if anybody wants to try and take me down a notch or 2 on the course. If you don't come over I'll take that as a win. :hammer:

i will be over at the 1/4mi for a few runs to see how the 9in holds up and if you want to line them up I'm game :burnout:

Any takers?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? :nono:

I have a V6....and I don't have my procharger hooked up anymore....So I can't talk smack. With one exception, if I can brag about my Buick

I thought that we were going to get away with the smack talk for once--but NOOOOOOOO you had to open a can of worms! Alright here it goes. YOu can keep that auto cross CRAP! I will run you in the 1/4. I will even leave the nitrous bottle on the start line for you. But Bruce on the other hand the bottle stays on board.

Hotrod - scared of the Auto-X?
Remember, Dragracing is for fast cars, but Auto-X is for fast drivers. You can throw enough money at a car until it is fast in the 1/4 mile (which makes you THINK that you are a fast driver), but at Auto-X you find out exactly how cr*p a driver you are. Now we don't want the world to know that we cannot drive, so we make a wide curve around the Auto-X track. Right?
Greetings
2slow

This is getting good. Hook line and sinker! Every one knows that I am set up for 1/4 mile. Wait a minute-----why is it that all the people are over at the 1/4 mile track? OH I get it, it is because Auto Cross is BORING, when you are running against yourself. I am not saying that it isn't less worthy, but here at Bit the 1/4 mile is more interesting. I drive the auto cross every day here, what makes you think that I want to do it on a course?

Slickmetal, v-6 or v-8 it doesn't matter at the auto-x, it will come down to the driver.

2slow, I have to agree with your thinking, driving in a straight line for 10-13 seconds well not too much work on the driver there. Are you going to be there?????????

HotRod, yep I thought we where going to get away with it too....NOT!!! You don't have to leave the bottle on the starting line for me.....the old Firechicken might just have more than you think or have been told about  Auto-x crap.....don't run from it, change the tires and let's throw down. As for not having anybody running against you on the track, your right...the ring can fix that problem. Well I guess I'll be running against myself. everybody seems to be using the excuse that they are only set up for the 1/4mi :wtf:  run them both!!!! Boring.....come on over and I'll give you a boring ride around the course...since your "set up for 1/4mi".........

I'll be there bright and early to back up the smack talk!!!!!! At the auto-x and 1/4mi..........

For all y'all that say that you don't need to be a good driver to drag race, I managed to beat my father yesterday merely by out driving him. I'm in a stock engined 91 Mustang and he has a 02 SS. He has an easy 100 horse on me, and runs about 5 tenths quicker than me. He didn't miss a gear either, I just out drove him. If you really want to drive, try being competitive in the brackets with a 5 speed. And yes, my car is set up for drag racing, too. It doesn't like corners.

Well, I did enjoy the AutoX yesterday ... only got 3 runs in all weekend (wonder why that is), but the car is running great ... getting too much understeer in the corners it seems, but James even said the car was a lot flatter than Roy's (guess you do need a set of SFCs it seems ;)). I'll post some vids of my runs later ...
I guess for next year we will have to do some combined contest ... 1on1 skill trophy ... winner is found by AutoX and Bracket results :)

nmonty, congrats on out driving. I saw you out there running yesterday.

garry, we will have to do something about getting you more runs. I agree totally with doing something that involves drag racing, auto-x, and one more event for a "King of the Hill" type thing. I don't know what the 3rd event should be maybe we can get some ideas.

As for the 1/4mi......well I'm not Bruce but I did run and need a "He said POOP" load of practice. As for the auto-x cross I was the biggest car there and was the fastest. The guys from the neatherlands where out there in full force and James was very surprised the the old Firechicken ran that good...... never under estimate you your opponent. Jack & Daddy where the only ones that made it up there, HotRod I was waiting for you to come up for that ride

I got a chance to meet alot of F-Body members yesterday for the first time. For those of you I did get to meet, I enjoyed talking to you and hope to run into yopu again at OCT's event.

You know what pisses me off to no end? I decide, very responsibly, not to race my car this weekend, and what happens? I break it anyway. This is such BS.

Jason and I start leaving Bitburg, and aboout 5km down the bahn, one of the caps from my rear u-joint falls off. So then we get another one, and it falls off too, even though it was tightened to the point where if it would have been tightened more, it would have snapped the bolt. Why the @#$% does this only happen to me???

Sorry I couldn't help out man. Really. Felt like I was telling my Mom's no or something. Did it get it home and what happened to the ds? That is just some weird stuff to hear happen. Good thing you weren't riding back home alone and Jason was there.

@ Jack,
Does the yoke on your rear diff still have the tabs that retain the caps for the u-joints? If not I have a yoke in my basement that I will MPS you. Let me know.

Think positive. Who knows what happened if you did race?

Wow that sucks jack. BTW I toasted my clutch this past weekend gotta rip it apart in the morning. I think it got hot a couple time and I did not feel it slipping until a put the hammer down on the bahn.

Val are you up for a sat morning showdown in oct at the Auto X is it still 3 laps and try not to hit the orange cones. I talked to the focus guy he was liking his wounds. LOL
