Just wondering if anyone knows where to get one locally. Don't really want to wait on the mail for one. Thanks,

Mav

With an American car, you're out of luck buddy.

He said "recharge kit", not "filtercharger kit".
So you just need the oil for the filter?
(i think the oil is the same for american and european cars ;) )

I saw it once at ATU, but i think they don´t carry K&N anymore.

I know what he said, but I haven't seen the stuff. If I'm wrong, just tell me, so I can let other people know if they ask. :)

Hehe.
An open conical K&N air filter is the first mod for every german ricer (placed in the engine department to suck as much hot air as possible ), so some places also sell the recharge oil!
So just look out for german "tuning" shops... ;)

I wish those "tuner" shops had stuff in stock. They always have to order everything.

Your killing me! :D

Need one to recharge my cleaner for the Harley. She's getting filthy after just 1K miles. Anyone know where the local tuner shops are?

You could try ATU on the East side of town. Or you could call VDAutotechnik. the # is in the findit guide.

I have just bought the K&N cleaner and oil.
You can order it in many auto shops in Germany.
I just had to wait for two days.
Or order directly from D&W (http://www.dundw.de).

Yes, you do. Otherwise it will let crap throught the loose cotton filter.

I just called VDAutotechnik and they think they might have something for me. I just have to call back and talk to the boss in an hour.

For those that may need one of these in the future.

I couldn't find that V-D Auto technik place, but I went to Berger Auto and they usually have them in stock, just not now. I went to the POLO motorcycle shop right there on B40 past the base and they had one on the shelf. Guess I should have tryed there first. Thanks for all the help!

It's a drive, but the parts store near my house in Speicher stocks the kits with cleaner and oil.

As far as running a cloth type filter without oil...it doesn't filter. They rely on the oil to catch all the fine particles.
