Damn Bruce. You got any of the old pistons left? Don't know if they're the same size as what you have in there now but if so just swap it out. How'd you blow #1 to begin w/?

Man that sucks. You, Jack and John have the worst luck or it is maybe that the rest of us have the same luck but just don't post about it.

It is worse than I thought. The piston is junk cyl scorred and slightly melted heads need attention. It has to come out and get machined. looks like the stock long block motor will be going in hopefully it will run.

Stock Motor! I saw that mut in your garage. Man, you are going to take a huge cut in horsepower. I guess there goes 10s this year and you will run 13s again. Sorry to hear that. At least it will be more streetable and get better gas mileage. I hate to see the Hawk get kicked while it is down.

Did any one see the motor go? You know that it is the last race coming and usually some one comes up with a bullsh!t story of how they will be running so slow at the races and shows up with tubs, 4 link susp. and a huge blower sticking out of the hood. Bruce, you wouldn't be doing that to us, would you?

man that blows major chunks Bruce. Melted head?! Jeez something got hot really quick to do that. Need to find the source to as to why that happened. Good thing you got a spare LB laying around. It'lll still be menacing w/ the cam and LT, exh etc. You'll be low 12's w/ that I'm sure.

I was there when the motor went. It smoked like crazy out of the passenger side exhaust cut out. Melted a piston and cracked the sleeve in the block. Detonation in the number 2 piston caused it to melt the piston down to the upper ring land and then it wore through the cylinder sleeve. A little lean on the nitrous. At least he can make the last race hopefully. It took some time to talk him into it.
