I'm postin this here. Only 7 have replied. If we are going to make this work we need the 25. If this is a waste of my time there is no point in having this club.......

Hello everyone. As President I'm seeking all members to participate in
the registration of "Our Club" here in Europe. The steps are easy and very
little money is involved.
1. Have your vehicle covered by ADAC if not already and email me your Policy
numbers when accomplished. The amount is somethin like 20-30 dm a yr.
We need a minimum of 25 members and since we are 70+ strong this shouldn't
be a problem.
What is in it for you? Future plans are sponsorship for all tpyes of
racing and car show events. We need input from everyone.
I'm the President Yes BUT that is just a title this is OUR club and we all
have equal say. Now if it gets out of hand then I guess I have to play
Big Dawg. ha-ha...

This club has taken off faster than I had expected and even more so the
direction. We have gotten further in less than a yr compared to others
that have taken years to do what we are doing.

The car show in Hockenheim for the 7-9 Sept 01 is the next
meet and we have asked for a 30-40 slot at the show. Remember we can't
do nothing w/out the support of you so lets make this happen.

To tell you the truth my goal was to create a club here for service members
and locals who are nuts about their F-Body and have fun. And to also have a permanent
platform for incoming service members so they could have a place to go
to w/out having to start from scratch like I did. HOWEVER I didn't expect
it to take off the way that it did and have a life all it's own.
You guys are the reason for that. Let's not stop now we got a good group
of people here and the timing is right. The sooner this registration is
done the better for us all.

Thanks Silas,

Hey. I'm all for helping the club. I'm not registered with ADAC yet, but will be and I'll get the number to you.

Go to a nearby ADAC and tell them what you are trying to do. They will give you all the information. From there we must just meet the standard.

From the looks but not an accurate count 13 to 15.
Since I'll be out of the country for a period of 90
days we should by then have the minimum requirement needed
to accomplish this.

Thanks for all the support guys. While I'm gone is there
anyone that would like to take overt this while I'm away?

I guess we should be able to handle that somehow ... I'm going by our local ADAC place tomorrow to pick up a bunch of applications, and also ask about the club registration ...

OK, picked up a bunch of applications today ... they are the ones for members inviting members, we can use them and get the gifts as prices for the OSL events or so ...

Now to the Club stuff - I picked up a little calendar thingy, that has addresses of clubs as well as information around ADAC events etc ... I'm not sure that what they list there is the same thing we have been talking about ... here's a short description of what they have ...

The so called "ADAC Ortsclubs" are regular german "Vereine", clubs, with all the legal stuff involved, like statutes, a board, a.s.o ... Apart from the bureaucratic overhead, I see a big problem with the "local" view of the whole thing ... according to the booklet, they are organized within the regional ADAC, like e.g. Hessen/Thüringen. Something FBE definitely is not. Also, the value to the community eludes me a bit at the moment ... so please, somebody tell me that what we been talking about is something different than what I got here ...
