I think I'm gettin under people's skin at the Mustang site. I've been making little comments here and there for a while, and today I suggested they quit worrying about the bolt on's and go for real HP, and it wasn't taken too kindly. Oops....

Yeah, i remember the one where jack was trying to sell his camaro on the mustang site and everyone was giving him a hard time, you came out and told jack not to worry about it because they were mad he was faster then most the members there That took guts coming from a mustang owner

Ah, they just don't get it. I guess I'm just different. Some of those cars have so much potential just waiting to be released.

I just read that post... i never realized that swapping 4 camshafts is that expensive. And probably a bit frustrating, if a LS1 with just one cam and oldfashioned pushrods puts out similar power... hehe.
But it took me also long to realize that boltons don´t do much if anything (besides the fact that they do even less on a V6).

Some bolt ons are required, such as those for intake and exhaust.

A lot of the bolt ons are intended to work with other modifications, not alone. But some people read that "x" part makes "y" horsepower, so it must be true. I don't understand how people can be so blind. Don't they realize that it is so easy for a company to do the first dyno pull in the midday heat, and the second dyno pull late in the evening. This allows them to even publish the amazing dyno results and the gains. The reality is that even an unmodified engine would show gains. Oh well, not my prob.

Man that is so true what you said . Ijust look at people in disbelief when they start adding up HP from manufacturers claim.

and then they look in disbelief when they go to the track and the car doesn't perform the way they thought it would...

I wish all Mustang owners think like you, but no!!!!!!!!!They have to throw in a couple extra bucks in to buy the attitude along with the car instead of buying decent bolt ons. What gives?

Beats me. I think it is just over here though. I post on a board from the states a little, http://www.hardcore50.com/,and these guys know their sh$t. Just different schools of thoughts, i guess. I think a lot of the Mustang guys are just now getting into the hot rod scene since they bought their Stangs, and they are still cutting their teeth.
