OK, quick note from Silke:
Quote: I do it easy for myself: tell me who the all over winners are and I will hand out the trophies. But you got to back up this information with scoresheets. so what you need on the sheets and how many?
I will need this info by tomorrow 1500 in order to print the score sheets ...

For the FBE challenge Score sheet
I'm thinking three 1/4 mile runs -plus 2 sec penalty for red light
three autocross runs- plus two second penalty per cone
three road course runs- plus two second penalty per cone
Avg the three runs per event post the time
Depending on the number of contestents participating will justify the scoring system. For example 10cars are entered then 11 points are possible for first place , 10 points for second and so on and so on.
The total culmative points after adding up all events will determine the overall winner for FBE challenge. Plus you may also have winners in each separate catagory also.
Does it sound fair ?

Question is, can we do a "road course" without tearing up the AutoX, or have enough room for one?

I have a truckload of new pylons (100+) here in Stuttgart. Just don't know how to get them to Bitburg and back.

Question: Can you tell me the winners until Saturday night 7pm?
I'd like to hand out some trophies on the Sat night party,
and
with the regular bracket classes on Sunday I think we are busy enough.
What type of race do you want the QM part of the FBE Cup ?
Heads Up or Bracket? Do you want it separat from the others?
... starting 4 pm Saturday there is not too much "traffic".
I also will run the womens (NEW!) bracket starting 5pm on Sat,
all female may drive either their own or their husband car...
if the car is already registered they do not need another registration they just sign the liability waiver together with their husband.
I will also have the inspection, registration, liability waiver for the AutoX included in the regular registration, so anybody registered at the QM may participate at the AutoX (FBE cup?) to no extra charge... you just got to check on the correct colored window stickers when they show up at the AutoX/Roadcourse - and that everybody wears a helmet of course
And, the next new Show&Shine type contest is:
everybody can vote for the 6 cars he/she likes the best.
Only requirement:
the cars have to be parked in the Pit Area, no registration necessary.
Everybody gets one vote form.
Categories are:
European >90 and European 90<
US >90 and 90<,
All Asian, All Aircooled,
the winners whose cars get voted for the most get a Trophy on Sat night
Do you think it is the best to hand out this vote form at the gate or at the
registration? have all spectators vote or only the participants?

I have a small trailer which is available at my house in Pirmasens,
but it is impossible to pull two trailers up to Bitburg on Friday...
thinking...

Since noone else has chimed in yet
It is doable providing were going by 10am the latest.
As for scoring in the 1/4 mile I would prefer to run three times and take your lowest ET for score. You get the rules hammered out over the winter pause.
Anybody else

Roy, your right about getting started by 10AM. Depending on how many cars show up to compete in the FBE Cup will determine the finish time on SAT. I think that we would still be ok by SAT evening.
I think that the scoring system will work just fine too. Give it a try and we can hammer out any rule changes over the winter.
Bruce
It sounds GREAT.....and I like my "chicken hawk"...... roasted!!!!!!!!!

Bruce....sounds like the excuses are starting If we run the 1/4 first than I guess you'll know if you have the ability to run 10's or not. How much do you plan on detuning it???? I'm sure that if it will 10's that you'll get it without having to spend all day trying.
Might be kinda hard to run 10s after we get finished with you up at the auto-x (LOL)

BS! Once you get that 10.99 time slip then it will be, can I run 10.5? It will never end and if you do detune the Hawk I give you one race next season before you start ordering and bolting on the power adders.

Takes about 1 hr to change tires Fact /not excuse is not gonna wait 2-3 hrs on the autox road course when I wanna run 10's this weekend. BTW the real road course is the 350 mile trip up there.

Bruce , don't back out now with that Scalded Hawk. I've heard there is a special for lunch called " HAWK WINGS" at the Slalom course . Peppered heavilied with SS exhaust.
We Know your car is fast in a straight line . Just remember we have only a limited supply of cones, so If the scalded Hawk needs training wheels to negotiate the gates then go for it . We won't hold it against ya, because we all know it can't be cars setup. So its gotta be you.
