Jack,
I contacted Rick, he is willing to pull it out the car tomorrow evening.
Your choice if you want to go over there and have it tomorrow night or if you want to pick it up at DRMO Friday morning.
Get with Rick, you know him, he is still working in Demil.
I am busy with Hazardous Waste Shipments at ROB and KIC tomorrow, so I may not be found in my subtropical hot house... ähm... office.

Have I seen your car at the DRMO today? I thought I've seen some red Camaro in the yard, but my attention was side tracked.

It never stops with you. You need to get a voodoo doctor to remove that curse you have.

Jason,
Go to the Harley Dealership an buy Jack a "Gremlin" Bell. All he has to do is hang it on the car somewhere and it will give him twice the luck than if he bought it himself. :D It always helps.

Jack,
I am not a lawyer but I don't think GM can be held liable b/c you are not using power steering and the rack and pinion is not changed to a manual one. My friend's wife was killed in March in an 850 BMW. He just had the pwr steering pump changed and he beleived this is why the car lost control. It is still being battled in the legal system. Just my .02 cents. BTW, an 87 Camaro does not have an air bag. You can put it on but you WILL need to disable your airbag before removing the steering wheel. That takes more than just unhooking the battery or pulling the fuse out. I saw it once in one of my service manuals on how to disable it. You have to unplug a harness after pulling the fuse for the air bag. If I find it I will let you know.

Word to the wise. If you do infact decide to remove the air bag, make sure that you touch some thing that I grounded and don't drag your @ss over the seat developing static electricity. Once removed the air bag can still be deploy with static electricity.

I caught an airbag in the face (tree 1, car 0) and don't need that experience again! I could not think straight fir a while after that incident.
However, in the car factories they fit hundreds of airbags every day and none of them explode while being handled. It's not the booby-trapped landmine that everybody try to make out.
Do keep your head out of the firing line, but don't live in fear.

Jack, I think you need to pick up a used Sherman tank somewhere. I don't know if anything else will hold to you!!! LOL You need to get a job for one of the auto companies doing their durability testing. If it can break, you'll break it. LOL

You sure are right about that Jerry. The car manufacturers would make a killing if they could make cars able to withstand me driving them. :x

Anyway, I took off the steering wheel today, but unfortunately the one I found at the junkyard wouldn't fit, so Barry is going to hook me up with one, and if Silke's offer is still valid, I'll take her up on it as well.
