I recon you suffer from chlorine withdrawel
But not kidding: they did some tests, and some of the spring waters you can buy would not pass the tap water regulations ...

JackZ28 wrote: People say that about the tap water in Germany, but it must NOT apply in housing. That crap is nasty.
same applies at our workplace, Jack, we get culligan because the tab water isn't drinkable - was lab tested.
Sad because the water delivered to the housing area is nothing wrong with, it is just the old pipes used from there on make it nasty.

Hello;
I find this discussion really interesting !
As I'm French, and that I live beside Germany, I also will deliver my opinion.
First of all, I have a gold rule: I never speak about policy, nor of religion; that always finishes by quarrels.
I don't judge people according to their convictions, I find that ridiculous.
[Daddy]No, France on the other hand. The next time I go to Paris is to burn it to the ground!! I f*ckin hated that place!
Paris is not France, fortunately...
me not I don't like this city, fortunately that all the country does not resemble to him !
[2slow]Still like France though, just cannot handle those dodgy cheeses they eat.
[Squirellina]Even though there is supposed to be a French-German friendship... it must be at political level only.
I know many people in Germany, and I have many French friends who have there also friends.
It's sure that if the same language is not spoken, it's hard to be made friends.
Personally I always try to make an effort, even if that is not always easy to speak a language which one did not learn.
To finish with the French, which I reproach them more it is their antisocial behaviour.
A country cannot advance if the citizens do not make their job of citizen.
According to what I could note through information and various reports, American has much more good citizenship.
It's one of the reasons for which I like much America.
Francis

Francis, don't take things too serious, it's just individual people's opinions. I think Jason (Daddy) couldn't get laid in Paris and now he hates the place.

I don't take things too serious, simply I find that it is very interesting that each one donen its opinion;
that enables us to better know each other, and thus better to understand us.
And in more that allows me to improve my English

Francis,
my text was related to getting "serviced" i.e. restaurants, gas stations, shops... as a german tourist or customer travelling throughout europe,
only speaking german or english.
I apologize if this was not clear or misunderstood.
I do have a few french friends myself and in my family are a few french family names like Maginot etc.

Damn! Way to change up a thread!
The (not) getting laid thing wasn't as bad as walking around for 3 hours trying to get a cab driver to pick up some Americans.
And to make all you guys feel better, I got some head from a cute American girl . So, HAHAHA to you

here we go again... THAT is what I don't like about (some) men, no mather what nationality:
men are getting mad if they don't get what they want,
but when they finally find a girl (why ever) giving what "he" wants:
then "SHE" has low standards.
What about those mens LOW standard? No better standard to take advantage of the girl in my book. And then: A gentlemen enjoys and does not talk about.
